Average camer... moreI strongly disagree if you are comparing Nokia's phones to "average" mid range phone available in todays market (specifically US market). For price and value easily oubeats many out there today, I just hope and pray that Nokia doesn't join the iPhone copycat design bandwagon as every phone out there now esthetically is looking luke an iPhone. I really appreciated Nokia'design and the fact they brought really cool options in color. I'm looking forward to the 808 PUREVIEW remake in the future if the concept becomes a reality. Even now it is one the coolest most chic looking phones ever made, and the fact that it had a 41mp and thicker camera depth was a plus (rather than a neg.)..it served as a grip n kept phone from slipping (the one thing I hate most about my pixel or any other slim body phone, when using no case) which I quickly beagn to love and later missed dearly. The 41mp camera is stii out performs my cam in my Pixel 2. (and kept it just for its camera use).
Ther is huge potential for NOKIA but they must come with something strong (sound, design, cam?) so unkowdlegeable reviewers arent leaving mediocre reviews such as the one here calling Nokia average (it makes it obvious they have not tested, very pessimistic).
A lot of consumers are growing tired of the same slim iPhone lool-alike design in phones, it is the most common complaint in many blogs, u see it over and over again.
please HMD do not lose focus on esthetics and bring us something exciting, gives us more color options like Nokia was doing before and people are waiting for this!!

        Your list of "averages" sound more like sensible balance to me, considering the price points of the current Nokia phones. Being great in something and bad in something else isn't good, if that "something else" matters to you too.

        Not true. For many, including me, build quality, durability and reliable software updates are one of the most important factors when choosing a phone, and on these Nokia phones are clearly above average. They are not a flashy thing that immediately catches one's attention, but they are something most people will appreciate in the long run.

                    Love the Community, 16 Nov 2018I love Nokia and I got a Nokia 8, and I have the option to ... moreI have an international Nokia 7 plus and unlocked bootloaders open the modding comunity. The device is great, just restricted, which is my gripe. If they don't open all of their devices i'll likely just sell this off for 250eur and go back to my redmi note 3 with a broken sdcard reader.

If I want to, I wanna download and make it use Google Camera.
