It is Android One, and A1 is suppose to be on the update list too. Why the delays?! Patient is not a virtue at all when comes to s/w updates and supports.

But they didn't come up with the gestures. HP did, with Palm WebOS almost a decade ago. Then Meego OS had swipe gestures in 2011. Go to youtube and enlighten yourself with Palm Pre videos. So, by your logic, Apple copied it from HP.

Xiaomi did not mention anything about dropping support, so just be patient ok?? Besides it's not even 2 years since the phone was last launched. The Android Pie update for Mi A1 is NOT going to include GESTURE option for navigation unlike Mi A2. This is because Mi A1 uses hardware keys (menu / multitasking, home, back) for navigating the UI.

As usual, only the latest models get updated faster. No news for A1 from Xiaomi at all. Why can't Android makers release updates at once for all models just like what Apple is doing?! I thought these are suppose to be Android One phones?!
