Best they can do is to put 5 cameras on the back to try, but quality of photo wont be better than on those old original Nokias with Pureview algoritam tehnology inside.
          Sad but true.

Couple of comments..... Are smartphone manufacturers just adding cameras as a way of adding to the price and markup of a phone unnecessary keeping the price high?

Secondly wouldn't it be cheaper to get one camera/sensor with a massive 41 mp sensor and see if that gets you similar results?

Wrong, 20 Nov 2018I don't remember seeing trolling comments for it since that... moreLOL.. This is not a mainstream device.. This is a NICHE device.. People all have forgotten that niche market exists.. What with the sea of mainstream phones with little differentiation.. Especially since Apple never made a niche phone just mainstream flagship.. Niche phones are such as this which focused on camera.. Or maybe a music phone with quad DAC and 7.1 speakers setup.. One could argue why more when one or two speaker is enough after all it is just a phone.. The answer to that is NICHE.. Same as gaming phone.. Who'd need a 120Hz 4K HDR 3D screen or a dedicated physical gaming keys? NICHE NICHE NICHE.. If you want their mainstream phones go get a Nokia 8 or 7.1,6.1,5.1,3.1,2.1 the lot of them..

The 8 Sirrocco is almost there as a "flagship killer" apart from screen problems. Give them a chance. They are the only ones putting out decent phones with Android One.

It have a look of huawei mate 10 pro that I have, same lens integration with the single circled cameras (just more) and the case looks the same. Far better than what they did with mate 20 and the square packing cameras for me, I like the flower disposition of the cameras (or spider eyes like, that's cute too).

Why would anyone complain about the number of lenses at the back? It is up to the designer to make the best use of available technology, one lens or multiple lens solution, not because more is better, but pros and cons. Up to us consumers to choose.

Carol, 19 Nov 2018Quite the oposite. The Retard trend is to troll and comment... moreI don't remember seeing trolling comments for it since that was actually something rather good. And I'm not trolling about this, it is geniunely ridiculous to see multiple camera sensors getting stuffed in a space that's already crammed. With the number of camera sensors increasing, the available space for other components gets reduced, the design gets more complicated and that can affect various things, motherboard layout, cooling paths, less space for actually neccessary/useful things like secondary speaker (for stereo sound), headphone jack (wow what is that?), microSD slot, various sensors, etc. All of that space wasted on multiple camera sensors that won't see a daily usage for majority could be used to put one bigger sensor (compared to current ones) with brighter aperture and possibly a more advanced OIS mechanism.
Yeah versatility is good, but if it doesn't come at the expense of something that has more need and use.

Not to mention that it mostly has the purpose of bragging rights, and raising the price even more, as if they aren't already absurdly high.

Samsung should team up with Swarovski optics for the S10 / Note 10.
