Grimreaper, 20 Jan 2019lol its very much possible . small hinges and bluetooth. on... moreThat would be three screens rather than two, and there's no need for Bluetooth then.

Until now, afaik, if a foldable screen is folded flat, the pixels in the middle would be damaged. So there's always a small gap (air or plastic, depending on the folding type) to allow the screen to bend comfortably.

Let’s hope this dies faster than 3D.. if I wanted a tablet I would one .. I don’t want a massive phone that sticks out of my pocket which is like 15mm plus in thickness with a screen that has poor durable , and unknown life expectancy due to folding... I can’t see this being trendy either.. unless you want to look like a tool in public.. best use it will have for folded out mode is google maps for when you get lost..

do you mean 2nd half of 2019 ????? coz 2018 is ofcourse you know wooosh!! unless you have come across a time machine :p

Yes, by the sounds of it and the glimpse we got to see, the phone doesn't look all that impressive. However, as more companies adopt, the tech will get better while the price becomes cheaper

If that's a real photo, it looks better than the Samsung foldable phone. Will probably be even more expensive, though.

Walter C. Dornez, 20 Nov 2018So the fact that it can bend doesn't speak volumes of the d... morescreen is plastic...good feeling right? Also good for scratches. Rest of the device is plastic also? you can't protect it, so any drop will matter. 1500 euros for a plastic phone, I pass. I already have 1 iPad and 1 smartphone I don't need to carry both same time....I just need a light durable with good battery device.
With foldable phones the battery needs to be huge. Do you like to carry a brick on your pocket? really people don't have a clue whats It's coming.
It's a nice concept to evolve the technology, but in phones it's dead on arrival. Well, in technology not always the best approach wins (beta vs vhs, etc.) so I don't write my words in stone, like Einstein said, the only thing is infinite is human stupidity.

I'm not sure, possible correction to the article, but isn't Canada ready to 'flip the switch' on 5G networks? Huawei has been working with Bell (and likely others). I don't think the USA is the only one ready...
