20 November 2018
A circular hole goes straight through the display panel, the selfie camera module will look through it.

Anonymous, 21 Nov 2018and where is your proof for that? Some news that was on GSMArena and on Twitter by Ice Universe or Evan Blass

Anonymous, 21 Nov 2018Does nobody remember this? https://www.gsmarena.com/samsu... moreWhat about it? Samsung tried to, but the selfies were too blurry. Thus, they might push it back to the Note 10

Maybe like that other guy said, if it's out of the way enough you can disable the whole corner around the hole to keep it from looking funny with a little color showing around the hole.

The lack of bezels literally made phablet screens truly portable for the first time. It was a huge design shift that mattered immensely more than others.

Yet some people still hate it.

BTW S8 has a giant hat and chin. Not the best example of bezelness. Samsung really sucked the last 2 iterations. No wonder it sold so badly

I'm currently using the S8+ and I have to say that I effing miss bezels!
I'm tired of accidental touches, I can barely hold the phone without touching something.
Don't even get me started with the round corners display..
I miss my old Sony phone with bigger bezels. I never had a problem with it..

                      Hi everyone!

Is it able to hide the hole when I close camera app?

                          Anonymous, 21 Nov 2018A hole is not a notch.You're right, it's worse.
Samsung's motivation seems to me to be that they will claim highest STB ratio.
It spoils the symmetry and you cannot hide a hole.

Samsung should've stuck to their mini bezels until they were able to develop under-display camera technology. These camera holes are just as bad as notches, or possibly even worse if they don't give you the option to hide it due to it's mini size (notches on the other hand can always be hidden).

wat the hell guys? selfie camera is used for video call too, not just for selfie. it's a must for mobile phone, unless if you never use a video call.
And i don't believe leak like this, it could be anoher phone from another brand, because, one it's censored, two there's no brand on it at all. So, try harder next time you want to fool me :P

It is likely only to lead to a tiny cutoff right in the corner. You may not even notice it if the hole is small enough.
