Shanti Dope, 21 Nov 2018So the phone is finally scoring as much as it supposedly is... moreBut still, we shouldn't take this score seriously, because that Google Pixel 3XL might be cooled when doing so. Not trying to be bias or anything, this goes the same as other smartphones' benchmark scores. To be honest, the underclocked SNAPDRAGON 845 didn't help much in terms of thermals and battery life

StraightEdgeNexus, 21 Nov 2018I'm far from a Pixel fan but why do benchmarks matter when ... moreYes, near the smoothest, at least when first used. Now mine is pretty meh, and the last several iterations of the OnePlus seem much better.
Also, why does speed matter? Smooth and fast aren't always the same thing. Both matter when you're paying a "premium" price.

Shanti Dope, 21 Nov 2018So the phone is finally scoring as much as it supposedly is... moreI'm far from a Pixel fan but why do benchmarks matter when the Pixels were the smoothest phones among the SD845 club?

So the phone is finally scoring as much as it supposedly is expected to, after an OS upgrade, when other SD845-powered flagships are already performing with the latest OS available for them.
Only shows how incompetent the engineers Google have acquired are.

Anybody could change "Android version" by changing one line in build.prop, you just need root. This is not a proof of any sort

The 8.0 Oreo in my phone, which I got lately, feels already old.

meh... will be another boring update like the last 4 versions. Google makes less interesting stuff since android 4.0 came out. Mostly only getting inspiration from apple devices and copying features...
We need more impressive stuff than these low level updates!!

Android Oreo was thoroughly underwhelming, Android Q must take a giant leap forwards
