I'm kidding. Although it looks like the QSD 8150 may be one decent upgrade, a valid reason to skip the ASUS RoG Phone and skip to the RoG Phone 2. It's a generational leap, which we haven't had one since going from the Exynos 5433 (2014) to the Exynos 7420 (2015) to the Exynos 8890 (2016). Or going from the QSD 805 (2014) to the QSD 820 (2016).

It looks to be using about ~20% less battery than the QSD 845 (or ~40% less than the QSD 835, Exynos 8890, and QSD 835). All the while its probably pushing ~50% more performance than the QSD 845 (or about ~70% more than the QSD 835, and ~80% more than the Exynos 8890). This is the first SoC that we can say is hands-down better than the Apple A10 and A10X, although it still seems to be short of the Apple A11-Bionic and the Apple A12-Bionic (and the A12X).

From personal experience : don't buy it! Unless you only game offline games.

          Hahaha
          True gamers you talkin about?
True games why would even consider playing on a smartphone?

          here is the flop coming.
I preordered mine in the UK.
Because I think the design is really unique, stereo front facing speakers, and AMOLED panel with a beefy battery and there is no notch.
The latest Huawei is 900GBP here in the UK that is way too high, iPhone XR starts 750GBP and the latest Pixel is around the same price, so why not going with this one for 700GBP?

being a gamer for over 15 years ... i wouldnt spend this much money on a gaming phone.
it just doesnt make any sense.

And then Snapdragon 8150 will be released in the coming weeks & any phone with it will be faster than the overexpensive ROG phone.

                    True gamers can afford anything.

[deleted post]You are right but little. People can afford but they usually don't spend too much on smartphone.
That is the reason that Xiaomi is No.1 in India because of midrange device which cost $200 or less.
