Xiaomi is now pushing MIUI 10 to Redmi 6 Pro and 1st gen Mi Max

    What I did once upon a time with mine that came with vendor ROM was to download Mi PC Suite on my computer and connected my phone, it then updated and I got the official chinese ROM. My data was not wiped, it functioned like any update. Of course, no international languages apart from English was left on my phone. But always best to make a backup first.

            The AI portrait mode seems to only be on the selfie cam and not the main cam which is a shame

                  Anonymous, 21 Nov 2018My mi max 16GB 2GB ram does not show the MIUI 10, not even ... moreobviously your rom is not official, there was lots of update after that date, try to manual update your phone by downloading the full rom and update it through updater, you got 50-50 chance of succeeding, if not succeeded the only other way (which is 100% guaranteed) is to unlock the bootloader and flash the fastboot rom.

                    Know someone who got MIUI 10 on a 6 Pro and a Redmi 5 yesterday. While 6 Pro has the November security patch, the Redmi 5 is still stuck on July! I never use exclamation marks, but this is truly shocking from Xiaomi.

                          My mi max 16GB 2GB ram does not show the MIUI 10, not even the MIUI 8. The latest update version shows only MIUI 7 android 6.0.1. Any solution way to update this 1st gen mi max 16GB 2GB ram without losing the data???
