Oncom, 27 Nov 2018Ever heard an Israeli company named NSO Group Technologies.... moreTo be honest, I didn't hear about it earlier. But it has a lot of presence on the web. And I'm myself 32 something so not quite the millenium generation.
I read the article again, it says its a university based lab. So, they might not have a site and I suspect they're totally new.
That explains why they don't even have a FB page yet, or even any other article mentioning them.
But honestly, do you think it will hit the market in the next 5 years? Doing an awesome college project and doing business are two things a world apart...
Of course, they['re in China, means they'll have a tough time patenting it too.

They don’t have a web site but develop software for the Israeli defense, that can crack any phone in the world. I understand that you, the millenium age generation, is all about web site. If something doesn’t have web site means they doesn’t exist.

Most tech companies before trading in China need to give their patent details to the government and share their technology as China will determine whether is a threat to its national security.
in hindsight, its an easy ticket for them to get their hands on technology blue prints and profit form it.

And for clothers all are made in Vietnam.

I would not raise my eyebrow on the mention of Chinese company manufacturing such batteries... manufacturing is ok.
I would however get a little suspicious if someone said that, they're "Developed in China".
I would raise my eyebrows like "The Rock", if I search on Google and find that Qing Tao doesn't even have a website...
And I would get paranoid on finding that, Google only has this news' links, and totally nothing about the company itself. Which I did, as you must've guessed.
And I will become a lunatic if they actually produce this in China.... I think its not possible.

The claims made by their graphene batteries were debunked, we shall see if they lie again.

just been reading bout the ion-plane - imagine if the plane was made of this solid state material - land the plane on the chargeing pad (intergrate solar within the mix) and charge on the fly !!!

you say your battery is not Made in China but Manufacture in China? there's nothing different about that coz it's still made by a hand or a machine in China, the design might be from another country but it's manufactured in China
as keep saying everywhere, the quality of a product depends on the budget or the materials given to the factories or manufacturers, not the country where it's being made, don't be a hypocrite

Wow. if this is actually true it's amazing news!
No more batteries dying every 1.5-2 years and not having to worry about heat etc.
charging them in minutes! so much awesomeness! Think of the laptops drones phones cars etc

And what materials quality your on about when it comes to apple ? Is latest Ipad made out of quality material that it bends like a paper ? And apple have not been innovative ever. They just buy out small companies that innovate and there for have these patents for them selves and use it on there devices.
Only thing apple is good at is to cut cost and ask enormous profit from there customers that are so in love with the brand that have no brain sells left that help them think with there own

What I said was to give credit where due; nowhere did I mention that the company's product which is still in nascent stages is going to be available in its best form by tmrw...
Apple still doesn't have a choice to replace any other country by China...
The technology required for mass manufacturing is simply not present out there...
Also, you didn't read my first argument...
I had simply stated the point that smartphone batteries are still manufactured in China and you use them, so you can either stop this propoganda or accept the way things are...

Plus the news of people dying, their inhumane working conditions etc. leaks if it involves Apple works but is completely hidden when a Chinese corporation is involved.

China manufactures the products because of cheap labour who are trained to do the same job. They made your iPhone 8 because they were told how to manufacture it from start to end by Apple and provided with quality raw materials. Apple also do QC on each case to make sure they are producing it with desired quality.
Apple has an option to replace China with any country they want to manufacture.
But replace apple and put a Chinese company in that place. Would you buy a product from that company? You don't know what standard they set for the type of raw materials they use, their quality control etc.
I admit that the Chinese companies have slowly caught up with the other technology companies by copying from Apple, Samsung etc. and once they have earned enough cash, they start to invest heavily in R&D and are building better products eg: Huawei, Xiaomi, one plus etc.
But still, I won't trust an unknown Chinese company over an unknown western company if it comes to innovation.

It could be correct i... moreOh yes, that apple famous apple quality control with crackgate, antenna gate, bendgate iphone, touch disease, mobileMe, apple Maps, slowgate, battery gate, yellowgate, scratchgate, purple haze and the most recent bendgate ipad.
Not to mention that wonderful QC ensuring the cheapest of soldering tin with child labour as key ingredient and people dying in their assembly lines, others just collapsing with fatigue and some outright trying desperately to show the world how horrible it is working for them by committing suicide jumping out the window. Not to worry, QC found a fix bar barring the windows. Every time they get caugt they do the same thing, arrange a meeting with the press, inform them how deeply sorry they are and that they were completely unaware as well as pointing fingers at anyone else, then saying it is resolved du to a new and improved bla bla bla and all just on paper. Again and again.
God forbid if they should try do something decent like increasing amount per unit assembled so they could get ethically sourced tin and employ more people and reduce working hours per person - not just on paper. Others are able to, but apple seemingly has no interest in such things. No one can afford it more.

i still remember back in 50's, westerner never believe japanese brand. they all stay away from them. no until late 70's company like SONY, PANASONIC and TOSHIBA manage to win against west quality.
the same goes to korea, back in 90's nobody want korean brand. they are cheaper than japanese just like chinese today. no until 2010 when korean brand become hit and beating japan.
this circle is similar to chinese brand. back in 00's nobody want to buy anything from them. then china brand prove themself such as huawei, geely manage to make the same quality like japanand beating them in term of price at the same quality
