SpiritWolf, 22 Nov 2018U12+ for example, is more relevant than Pixel 3 duo. Better... moreIt still has bad battery life, bad update support and those horrible haptic buttons. It isn't worth it either.

The shame of it is, all HTC, Sony, and LG need to do is read the blog comments here and online to see what people want. Or better yet just grab a Samsung or Xiaomi and copy what makes them successful.
But instead these brands think THEY know better than the market and that THEY will tell us what we are going to buy. They are seeing how well that strategy works now.

Would've bought the HTC U12+ if they just used ordinary buttons (the size/design was basically perfect), kept the dongle & included wireless charging..
A really great underrated phone, too bad.

MrGrumpy, 22 Nov 2018HTC haven't had a relevant phone for the last 4 years. Sad ... moreU12+ for example, is more relevant than Pixel 3 duo. Better camera and no software issues. No notch. But nowadays it's brand that sells.

Their fate is their own fault, if they had done as they were begged, pleaded with and had just released an updated HD2, their entire last ten years would have been totaly different.. Sony made the same mistake, customers wanted an updated p910i, what they decided to try and sell us was the poxy P1, guess what, it totaly flopped. Some makers seem to think that actually giving their customers what they want is some form of weakness, oh no, every phone has to be NEW, INNOVATIVE, CUTTING EDGE etc etc, whether that's what your already proven by prior purchases want or not.. HTC's last claim to fame, briliant front facing stereo boomsound speakers, that most owners and reviewers raved about, HTC's clever decision, let's do away with the original concept and try to sell folk a bodged version that doesn't work nearly as well, and then they scratch their heads when sales flop and they go bankrupt, they should have carried on reading and inter-acting with proven buyers on XDA forum, remember A) why it's called XDA in the first place and B) how much more money you made when you did listen on there... Fools at HTC allowed designers to take over from engineers, HTC, an object lesson in why you don't listen to poxy designers and certainly don't allow them to be the number 1 department above all others, Google are also finding the same lesson out the hard way, having been daft enough to buy up the old HTC teams, you too can pay even more for a re-branded 3 year old HTC, and you get free membership to google pixels beta bug test program, whether you want to or not, if it wasn't for the software magic for the cameras, the pixels would havbeen a total flop, instead of just the embarrassing mess they have turned out to be, but of course, not enough profit from the old nexus lines, googles wonderful money grubbing idea that if it doesn't make a loss, but not ENOUGH profit, kill it... clever boys, realy clever, going to realy win you loyal customers !!

HTC haven't had a relevant phone for the last 4 years. Sad really as they certainly know how to make them, they're just hopelessly lost.

The least innovative company so far. Their tech so bland this year. Nothing new. Not worth the price. Not even upgrading the U11+ to android pie.

Just get U12 Life more worth it for complete essentials if you still care for the 3.5mm jack because it's there. Even if HTC slashes prices for U12+ & U11+, I will still not buy it because it does not have a 3.5mm jack as STANDARD.

Even my limited budget flagship kick the ass of that cut price in the price/reward/quality/experience... Still unknown what game they try to play while sinking. Perhaps to be what they are not today¿? Look at dated thing pretending to survive in a major league that is forbiden for him....

Forgot HTC still made phones. But realistically if they want to sell these they will need to discount at least 50% off.
