It manage to do it, by not having a big round button underneath the screen.
Go to a phone store and watch some 4" screen android before you comment.

We all know that it should be 'a grain of salt' but the writer is making the point that should be 'very' cautious about believing this rumour, i.e. even more cautious than usual, hence a bag of salt instead of just a pinch.

So I think it's still safe to say that the next iPhone could be called the iPhone 5. Not forgetting this is Apple we are talking about, and Apple will do whatever the hell they want anyway.

I don't really care about the screen size. For me the next iphone should have more battery life so i can enjoy playing and browsing and no antenna problem ( i'm an iphone 4 user ). I think it's better for apple to add more battery life than add 4" screen that make it quick to low battery status. About design i think iphone 4's design is good already. So apple just need to change several things only.

Why does everyone refer to the next iPhone as the 'iPhone 5'? The iPhone 4S is already the fifth iPhone to be released so the next one should be called the iPhone 6. Damn, some people can't count.

I do not like 4" display for a smartphone. It is too large. Maybe only if they keep the device dimensions. But 3.5 to 3.8" is the maximum for a phone. Everything else is a coffee tray.
