I dont know who is copycat, but i know that 2.5 year old P9 is faster than S8. Huawei is the best android, samsung phones die after 1 year.

Other brands innovated some too, but also used things from other brands, creating a forward trend to it. This is how the current smartphone world works, if u don't follow the trend, you're probably left behind

(Ie Samsung vs Apple). The chinese just brought it to another level in recent years. Without the chinese, the phone you been using wouldn't be this cheap. Even if you are/were using the iphone the chinese made it cheaper for you. So don't you dare generalize the chinese like that. In order to penetrate this mature cell phone market, a new company has to imitate as much as they can to the leaders, lowers it's price point in order to get noticed. Now that they achieved it's status, they can innovate. Look at Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. They are starting to take over. So don't you ever call them copycat and cheap when they are now the top companies in the market now. Say that when you make that much money copying.

Instead of focusin... moreThe idea of having a hole on a display was suggested by Huawei in the first place through their patent document, though many people at that time dismissed it as being absurd. But now Samsung just took it and moved the FFS to the left side so that they can call it their original idea and all of their fans are like, "hey this is the future!" Oh, almost forgot about "Infinity-U" display... why couldn't they just call it a "waterdrop notch" when it looks identical to the notched display of Essential Phone? That's right, they wanted act like the one who invented the whole concept of having a small notch on top of the display.
Not a hater of Samsung, but I find this whole situation, where Huawei is being somehow criticised as copying Samsung here, simply ridiculous.

Also, this is the View 20, I guess, the article doesn't say but it has to be. I was expecting a teardrop notch, not a hole that far from the edges. I hope the screen isn't bigger than 6.5" for 19.5:9 or 6.3" for 18.7:9, since regular Mate 20 is a bit too big.

Why hole !? bezels were fine actually if their size kept reasonable and used for decent front firing speakers.
