They had no Factory in Asia, not even one before microsoft, also before all this wannebes pup-out like mushrooms. Nokia had billions in researches invested and workes were payed with at least 3000€ in Germany and Finland. Still smartphones were around 500€. Funny anin't it? At the era where they were rzlling the mobile world, they could actually manage a lot ouf profit even with well paied workers. Now, tell me. What did apple do? I kind of keeo forgetting it. Cause i've seen nothing till today, outside the prices audacity of course.

Apple can kill two birds with one stone if they move manufacturing to India. It might help them avoid tariffs in both India and USA, and would allow them to become a bit more relevant, and relatively affordable in the fastest growing smartphone market.

Manufacturing in the US will raise prices even more than the extra tax.
Don't underestimate the cost of labour. You could probably have a 50% tax and it will still be cheaper to use china to manufacture.
although in the end no matter what the consumer will be the one paying more, and then some companies (like apple) will raise even more to add to profit and blame the tax for all of it.

Anonymous, 27 Nov 2018I bet they will charge 30% more as compensationYou gotta pump up the number, that's a rookie number.
I bet it'll be at least 50% more prices increase. Nothing will change. It just mean we need to throw our wallet 50% harder on their faces.

Trump shoots first and never ever think!
Trump do not understand how connected every country is when it comes to trade! Negotiations are the only way to solve trade problems, but Trump is unfortunately the worst "negotiator" ever, threats and bullying is the only "tools" he "knows" about trade "negotiations"!
