In India music segment is already heavily saturated with Gaana, google play music, Apple music, Amazon prime music, wynk, and Jio.
Jio is fully free for Jio sim users and prime music comes with Amazon prime subscription, so a large portion, having these 2 services definitely not gonna pay for spotify.
Again most Indian use these services only for free streaming and not willing to pay for ad free UI or for downloads option, data is so cheap here and network connectivity is also good, people don't mind to stream songs again and again and they don't even think of buying a plus or premium plans, this fact is so true for town level, middle class population.
Still so good so see another music service in India, as I already used both play music and prime music and hate both of them, both have some weird UI and lots of bugs are there specially when I download songs for offline use.

Awesome news....but with the merging of Saavn and JioMusic.....JioMusic now has an extensive collection of labels, and can easily become the most popular AND the cheapest service for India...

Glad to see this, and I hope Spotify becomes massively popular. It's without a doubt a better service, and Spotify are more honest and less predatory than Apple Music and Google Music.
