Google's November security patch is in tow.

These phones have Built-In ADC & DAC https://www.oneplus.com/cz/product/oneplus-type-c-bullets-earphones , so they are not only phones with different (USB-C) connection. For me it means USB OTG you have to activate (same with external DAC Amp) to get them working. And the last patch is adding (analog) audio output via USB-C, not changing digital output via USB-C (USB OTG), which was available from the early beginning.

Seems like you have to enable OTG storage option under Settings>Advanced>OTG Storage and only then the type-c bullets are detected.

Walter C. Dornez, 28 Nov 2018That is weird. Does it work with other USB C phones?I tested with only my Nexus 6P & OnePlus 6T. One my Nexus it works just fine while not drawing any power from the phone. On my 6T though it's always charging if it is not fully charged beforehand.

BTW, the dap I have was advertised to be for an iPhone only. So, on an iPhone it works just well as well. I bought an extra cable later for it to work on droids. Hope this helps.

            Wow, that's a nice touch.

I very very clearly remember that I was able to listen to audio via a pair of type C earphone (one's that came with LeEco Le 2) on my Oneplus 2, around 2.5 years back when I had one of those. So OP2 natively supported audio via type C port, but OP3 didn't. That's funny!

Usb C earphones need software support? Is it just oneplus thing or same with all phones?

Bullets (Type-C) fired at Android Pie update.

In dev settings under USB config there's the option for audiosource, dunno if that was there before though.

Cool! Any idea how I go about not charging my fiio dap when connected to my OnPlus 6T over micro-usb to type-c cable? On my Nexus 6T I had an option to choose between charging & file transfer. But on my 6T my dap always charging. Weird.

Tried turning OTG on in Settings ? Without that no power requiring accessory works over type c port
