Pie is with software buttons in mind. But actuall the two gestures that will be missed are not bothering me at all. Wi CPL launcher, swiftly switch and gesture control my whole device is nothing but gestures.i have no icon nothing, wverythin openes through gestures. Pretty cool actuall.

The device was released in 2017 by the end of 2019 the 2 years are through, and till then i do not think google will release another version of the system.

      Given the LACK of software buttons on Nokia 8 as it uses hardware & back-lit buttons, this Android Pie update WILL NOT include GESTURES for navigation as an OPTION.

              Regarding ARCore, I've been running it on my Nokia 8 and Android 8.1 for a month or two already, so Pie isn't really required for that.

              As for using Google Camera, I've tried several GCAM ports without any need for bootloader unlocking. Even Night Sight works on some of the recent ports just fine.

                      Improve the camera algorithms HMD Nokia or I'll unlock the bootloader to get the hacked Google Camera. I won't do the latter. Make the gods at DxOMark eat their words.
