I'd rather have this than a notch, selfie camera, a dot, etc.
Second display also beats any RGB lighting of any gaming phone yet.
Glass backs would only make sense if it has a display on it.
Cost is nothing if Xiaomi can sell a flagship, Poco F1, for $300 only.

Isn't it irony that when Apple has started super expensive trend, there is not much criticism and many if not, most of the people will totally ignored the fact. "Oh it is iphone, there is nothing weird about insanely expensive iphone".
If the phone is already terribly expensive, we as the customer has a very right to asking for more delicate feature. Asking the manufacturer not to add more technology to make it inexpensive is a total lost to customers, not to manufacturers, as they will gain more by doing this. You are the one that is deprived of your own right.
We already learn to live on rear fingerprint sensor, how about it is time for us to get rid of selfie camera and we can vouch for main camera for selfie.
But wait, how to do that?
Secondary screen is the main answer. I started to worry about if it is true that company like Samsung has really found the solution on selfie camera underneath the display and then the display can adjust it color upon selfie camera is not being used; how about the camera sensor's quality and specification?

Aspros, 02 Dec 2018I would like to the selfie cam dead, that the source of all... moreI definitely agree with this. Selfie camera is useless for me and it's the root of the problem...
If people still want the selfie camera to live, they need to stop complaining about the notch or hole.

Aspros, 02 Dec 2018I would like to the selfie cam dead, that the source of all... moreStill many people are using front cameras and not only for selfies. Would be better if companies would offer some models without front camera.
Personally I think people would still choose phone with notch or little cut in screen.

I would rather choose a slider phone (Honor Magic 2, Mi Mix 3) than this awkward 2ndary screen at the back of a phone.

I would like to the selfie cam dead, that the source of all problems. The increased costs, the inability to further reduce bezels, the necessity to reduce battery capacity.

the e-Ink rear screen (monochrome only) was in my view the best use for a rear screen, but given that most phone users are also case needers (in case their pressshusss gets scratched) it just wouldn't work for them

The Nubia X is $430. If you can't afford $430 you are pretty much hopeless, secondary screens on the back of the phone is a great idea unless you're a moron and drop your phone 24/7. In that case you shouldn't even have a phone if you're that irresponsible.

Namelesss, 02 Dec 2018Stop making phones more expensive, whatever the reason. Cam... moreThey won't. They will put more and more useless stuff. Because people are buying. And manufacturers are making awesome profit. Manufacturers know that people can't think. People will buy anything the manufacturers tell them they should buy. Even if they don't need it. You don't believe me? Look around you. See?

Second screen is a mess for phone cases, makes screen protectors more expensive, makes the Goddang phone itself more expensive, and kills the battery.
I miss the days when big batteries were actually important. There's no point in all these flashy features if the battery sucks and doesn't last on a single charge.
This is why I wish companies like Ulefone, Blackview, and Umidigi would expand out to the US. Sure, their processors aren't the best but they have batteries that reach up to 13,000 mAH. Any phone with that capacity, even if it had 4K, overclocked processing power, and 120Hz refresh rate, would last longer than every flagship out here at the moment...

I don't believe second screens are necessary after all these are telephones and handy devices for all sorts of things. For me classic uncomplicated looks such as the pixel 3 as an example is good but more importantly batteries
The new development in solid state batteries is probably the way forward for technology and being able to keep charge for 2 to 4 days. That has been amazing advances in that Realm recently

One thing that I want for like a five years or so...To have a phone that can last for few days without charging. If you give another screen on it it won't last half the time it can last now.

No need for a second screen to eat even more battery than necessary. Just keep phones like they used to be. No wireless charging, no face unlock, no in display fps that just add up in price and are basically useless.
