Check for the plugins sample apk in htc desire s europe.
It's the only app that stay in process and you can not force stop it. Also it ask the same permissions as the app in htc evo 4g.
I just don't know how to track my phone. do i need some sniffer. what is the port that this app use. How to check if the europian version of htc desire s aka saga have have the same Carrier IQ stuff in it preinstalled ?
Will somebody point me to some correct direction how to?

Anonymous, 30 Nov 2011if u don't have a data plan or connect to the internet via ... morethey can still track you down over gps and/or GSM network, unless you completely turn your device off.

I think this is only in america but not effected outside of this government-controllable country.

Tracking the actions of the phone , like messages, calls or even internet, lasts for years, it's just that the general public doesn't know about it. I was employed in a certain mobile operator, on the engineering section and believe me, every operator records the activities of every user.

So basically, spying on your phone is an old news. Country governments know about it, since spying is in their interest.

People need to be informed that every action of their phone is tracked, no matter what phone it is.

At least on Android you could see what it's doing.
With other closed operating systems you have no idea what goes behind the scenes!

You think they are ripping off your privacy?

The Samsung weather app allows you to get a users location with out any location permission in the Android Manifest. This can be exploited by any developer.

It is known for a fact that the US people are being moonitored 24/7 . They signed the acta treaty a while ago . They dont have torrents , Free mp3's, freedom of speech , and anything else related to freedom.

If this is confirmed in europe that iq thingy is recording everything we do , they will be prosecuted instantly for violation of human rights and google is gonna pay shitloads of money and even might close android project.

Sucks to see that acta crap everywhere. Theres people that just like to control . We cannot be controlled , we have the desire to be free and allot of wars were fought to obtain that freedom. Some idiots never learn .

Spying, spying and spying all around. Taking our lives away from us. I believe they are going to control how we breathe in times to come. But what do we use then? Make a cell phone ourselves but then again we have to use their sim card. Leave using.

carrier iq is present on all smartphones excepting the iphone, it is something the carriers add to their software builds, thankfully if you are an android user you can flash your phone with a new rom and get rid of the carrier added rootkit

"as the developer states, also Nokia and Blackberry devices alike.“
                              It's not android specific.
all of these big companies sell your informations!for example Do you really think google earns such much money from a lot of free services?
                              You have two ways:
1.present your information to these fuckin companies and say every time they roll out their craps:"Oh!how cool gadget!"
2.Get rid of their spy tools!
                              Shame on you:Apple,Google,Nokia,Sony,Samsung etc
