I personally think the WP7 is great.it,s stable ,very intuitive and fast.The other OS have their merits also.What I find strange is the almost sport- like tribalism of some of the posters on this site.This was highlighted by the recent Nokia Lumia live event at Millbank tower.When,at the very end the Lumia phone was flashed up on display some of the crowd started booing and jeering.Strange ,very strange.
Please techie people,lets celebrate all this wonderful and varied stuff,not start behaving like soccer fans in most of the world !

Nokia's future was meego.wp7 should not be called smart.lack of apps,not existing regular gps soft,no flash,no background run,no memory card slot make it just stupid phone like any low end.in fact wp7 is dead

Three also sell both black and cyan nokia lumia 800! For £33 a month I've got 500 minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited internet! It's certainly the best deal out there at the moment :)

Actually, to the article writer, it's not an error. Phones 4U are indeed selling the nokia lumia for O2, and have been since release. I know this because me and my mate got ours on the same day (tuesday of last week)

The Nokia Lumia is just an amazing piece of art. Funny how iphone users suddenly feel compelled to downplay this Microsoft/Nokia-combo. The saints are coming.

They've been on sale for a while @ Phones4U... It's not a mistake, the availability may be limited but they most definetly there, in all their sans blutooth file transfer glory, very conwenient...

Closed platforms with money invested allows that platform to flourish at any stance. WP7 isn't gonna be an open platform anytime soon under Micrsoft. I see this as a good thing as the user experience can be controlled and seamless without fragmentation. Look at Meego, a closed project where other companies can't just butt in and change and it's smoother and better than Android.

Got mine yesterday! This is fantastic piece of art. Few weeks ago I promise I wont never buy WP7 phone, but after testing my friend HTC I can recommend. This Nokia is even better than HTC.

Mayb... moreiphone is almost twice expensive than lumina so is that what you call cheap look at iphone same old boring design, UI is not changed that much since iphone 3GS only additional feature of iphone 4GS over iphone 4 is 8MP camera rest are pretty same (Dual core for what?) it is hard to tell some difference between 4 and 4GS some fake brands too produce iphone look a like phones so iphone is no more style statement

Nonsense Nokia people. Trying to stay in the race with Flintstones age technology(Wiindows mango7). Nokia be prepared for Plan B. Either symbian, Meego or Android. Nokia+Android= unbeatable mobile phone. But they killed their own kid(Symbian) to adopt anothers(MS Win7). They were No1 and could have been but their short sightedness made them fall down from 1st to 1000000000000th place. Symbian could have been developed to be jus like Android but they failed.

I think you're talking about the iPhone, because my colleague with his iPhone 4S and the all wonderful Siri, just got his butt handed to him yesterday in a "face-off" against TellMe (Windows Phone's implementation of REAL onboard speech recognition) for stuff as simple as sending a text or trying to call someone (both in accuracy of speech recognition as well as execution time). If I were you, I'd worry first in paying my EU debt, before dreaming of buying an iPhone :-P

Lumia is just too expensive and WP7 is just too crapy. Maybe in the future when WP8 come to market and only if it become more OPEN os , then maybe.
If i had to give my money to a CLOSE os , will prefer iPhone.
