With samsungs phones I wont go for the "best " screen. Why? First, having 20/20 eyesight I can`t enjoy more than fhd screen. Really, with VR of course!, fhd is really low (learned that with the s6+) but my old s6+ looks sharper than my s8+! Now check the price for repairing a cracked screen ... now imagine adding the complexity of cameras and holes etc. Give me a screen that I can change one or two times in the lifetime of the phone without costing me half a phone , over 4k resolution!

I would've preferred just a teardrop notch in the middle. That's probably the best look with a notch without doing that Oppo Find X slider-stuff that will wear out.
Anyways, the S10 and Note10 won't even their biggest releases next year. It will be the foldable displays. Samsung has experienced decline already and Apple no longer has sales growth. People are content with what they have. Another new phone, another new setup for it which could take hours with specific chargers for each one.
We got to a point with smartphones became like laptops in the 2000s. Laptop used to be well over a grand. We didn't upgrade as often because of it. The tech in smartphones is good enough already to last for more than two years. Just replace that battery to keep it going.
S10, Note10, iPhone 11, they are all becoming boring. The fad is waning. Look at the iPhone XR. People expected it to sell well because of price. It didn't live up to expectations. Neither did the XS/XS Max. People are just tired of buying new phones every year or so.

Noooooo! How can they be so stupid? What the fog were they thinking? I HATE the Apple notch and i exclude each and every phone that has it, but common, this is even worse!
It's too low, it will cut an even bigger piece, than a notch would.
And the lower bezels? Why are they oneplus 6T size?
This is where they should compete with Apple...
I guess it's time to return back to Sony or stay to oneplus, one of them must be wiser than that...

I hope that IR blaster is considered by Samsung on this high end phone.
And what about the front facing flash for the selfies that would be taken in the dark light?
I think Battery should also be user replaceable as Batteries tend to die after certain duration.

Wooow, now this is DUMB; an island for the camera, so all the screen at the corner is really useless. Samsung really has to understand that not every "innovation" is useful and should be made a product.
Just because you can do something new doesn't mean you should do it; from 3D TVs to foldable phones and heart rate sensors they try so hard cramming stuff you don't need.

I for once don't mind a slightly taller phone with Bezel.
Forget curved screen just goes for Flat screen.
Forget hole and notches just have bezels.
Forget bluetooth headphone, keeps the head phone jacks.
Forget glass backs, bring back swappable battery and plastic back cover!
Sometime innovation don't make a lot of sense!

Designing the apps around the Holes would be a pain in the "Hole"
Considering that Samsung needs a place just for the camera, a notch (Maybe teardrop) would have been a better option than a Hole in the Screen, as the hole is not within the Notification/status bar.
A Notch would just take a small place in the top and not intrude in the App Real-estate which is acceptable.
Another option would be to have a huge status bar to include the cutouts in them, which would again be a waste of real estate anyways

Lol at people commenting under this article.. you guys want less bezels, company positively responded. They made a notch, some gave positive feed, some negative. Now one has made a way to increase screen ratio by hiding the peripherals except front camera, you guys mock them. it's the matter of time until you can actually stare at full fledged display with invisible supporting peripherals.
I'm not a fan of this design, obviously. I would prefer notch over this. But company won't stop moving. They keep researching/experimenting until we eventually adapt to them & benefit together at one point.
