Regular watches does most of the tricks and works perfectly.
No need to be a David Hasselhoff from Knightrider series :-)

Nothing can be as useless as an electrocardiogram on a watch. Heart health is never monitored using an EKG/ECG alone more so one that is incomplete with minimal electrodes on a watch. Apple is somehow feeding on the fear of the medically ignorant population making them wrongly think that having a watered down EKG on a watch is somehow like a cardiologist monitoring your heart health and therefore minimizing the risks by an 'early warning' of an impending heart problem / heart attack.
It won't be long before Apple sponsored testimonials like 'How the Apple Watch saved my life' become Apple's sales marketing pitch for the Apple watch series 4. Now that seriously does more harm than good to MAJORITY of the population who will use it as an early warning device for heart problems as substitute for a regular annual physical exam or a visit to their cardiologist. The only people who actually benefit from the EKG on the Apple watch are those already diagnosed by their cardiologist to have atrial fibrillation and an EKG on a watch in those cases are more of SUPPLEMENTAL to the regular cardiologist visit rather than a SUBSTITUTE to a cardiologist visit which is what people are likely to be using it for. Long story short: it's seriously more harm than good to MAJORITY of the population who use it as a preventive/false assurance for hetter heart health.

The ECG infornation from the watch sholud be approved the government to be analysed by doctors. This is something different from having the ECG for your information and using is officially by hospitals

It's a Farce, ECG reading can never be accurate nor reliable on this watch! Why not rest of population in world not vulnerable to heart attack than Americans! We have paid and contributed to billion dollar company Apple Too!

The ECG is optional only for USA because only there peaople are living. The rest of the world we are animals :) If Apple is so concerned about the human’s health why it is enabled only in US? Are they Gods or what ?

Other thing is that even for apple this feature took a long time just for US market. Who knows how many years it could take to get approvals in other countries.

Visiting your doctor annually for a comprehensive annual physical exam with complete blood tests including fasting blood sugar, lipid panel (HDL, LDL, triglycerides, etc.), a 2D echo, treadmill stress test, REAL EKG/ECG, a blood pressure and stethoscope exam will do more for heart health and will cost a lot less than an obscenely priced Apple Watch series 4 that gets replaced annually.
