Weekly poll results: second screens are loved, as long as they don't cost too much

Phones with two screens may prove more desirable than foldable phones. Either way, people seem pretty tired of the constant price hikes.

    Small second screen is what I chose. And for quick info/notifications. I am a woman but I hate selfies.

      Even now i won't buy a phone with dual front facing camera like a8 or pixel 3. A waste of money on a feature i don't even use

I voted for second display on the back as well, my last photo on fk is really loooong way back and so what? I want clean front panel with one large display and reasonably small phone. Second display and rare camera used as selfie would be a great solution for me as I rarely use selfie camera(but still use it enough) and it would allow me to use the phone properly due to size. It would be amazing to have phone with 5.5 inch front display and good phone size!!!

Why on earth you w... moreYou're missing the whole point of the 2nd display : it's made for sheeps that take 100 selfies just to upload a "good" one on that 2000 and late platform called fb from which people are running away nowadays.
            As someone who never uses the selfie camera, I would never pay for such a device.
            Instead of adding junk, they should add a secondary SD card slot or more battery.
            Clearly this double display device is for fb ladies.

              why should a phone have rear screen whats the point of it?
              Are the phones so much durable that they cant break from the front. People usually use body cover on their phone as the glass are not durable they can break. So if we add a back cover to phone then whats the use of the rear screen?
              And Lol who will see the screen from back

                Well to be honest i voted to stop making phones more expensie but thats not all.

                To start with something we can really expect a foldable screens will be very expensive.
                But the question is do we really need them???
                No company asked ordinary people what they should work on, what they should research. They just makes it try to sell and when the project wont be succesfull they will part away with that either forewer or for the time when the technology will be cheap enough so everybody can afford.

                Right now the only major problem is that unknown technology cost tons of Research and Developement money and have so high expenses that those expenses will be counted in prices of all other devices which company sells.

                Thus we have for example J4 prime phone with laughable 2 GB ram and 16GB of disk space for 150 euros in 2019 era.

                If i were the lead of innovation i would start with public write to all people. Now with the internet it is much easier than ever before. And ask ordinary people what they really want.
                Put for example 10 questions to the contest with a last one saying. If i were in the lead and have money enough to build or create anything what it should be whats my ideas of a perfect phone.

                This way we all could be satisfied.
                Right now we have to pay for technology which will probbably die as did project tango for example. And whats worse we have to pay for it whether we likes or not.
                Only time will tell.

Why on earth you w... moreHmmm.....How about the fact that it gives you the ability to take selfies with the devices best performing cameras, defeating the need for selfie cameras which allows the manufacturer to slim down the bezels even further. So they're soooooo useless...

Why on earth you w... moreIt's called experimentation and if you don't like the fact that manufacturers out there are trying to get around the notch problem since not many people are too fond of it then that's your problem and not theirs.

Try out the idea, test on the market. If it succeeds, good. If it fails, try another option. Nothing will improve if you keep sticking to the same old formula.

                          Why on earth you will need a second screen? what is the difference what side of the phone you will use to check your messenger? Totally useless!
