Dual standby phones only have one transceiver, Dual Active phone have TWO transceivers so in theory you could have 4 calls if you have call waiting.

Verizon is a CDMA phone so needs to be activated by Verizon

Where ESims are a step forward for GSM phones is that all a thief has to do is remove the sim card to remove remote commands. Having an esim means Network commands are available unless the phone is switched off.

Esim brings GSM phones closer to CDMA phones, and whilst you only have one number, holidaying means you can if supported switch to that country network on-line

You cannot use a esim phone in countries that don't support it.

Only when GSM networks adopt esim will phone security take a step forward

Looks like iPhone Dual SIM implementation is really outdated since this is Dual Standby mode, no dual iMessages, no dual apps like App Twins (WhatsApp, FB, Telegram) . Not something worth $750-$1000 considering its various short comings

I really dunno how it will work in the future as each carrier has their OWN ToS. (I Work with Hotmobile for example. And their Support in ESim is via a bardcode (QR specifically) cards that are either scattered around their stores or the seller gives me for roughly 2$ or so a card I'm supposed to scan a QR code thingy.

LG Superfan, 08 Dec 2018Once I activate how can I switch it to another carrier?Easy.
          1. Explain in KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) what is an ESim
          2. Ask if they support an Esim
          3. Follow their instuctions.
          4. Voila. Carrier swapped.

Once I activate how can I switch it to another carrier?
