Quick notes in the first hours using this update.
1. No soft buttons, good idea holding on the hardware ones
2. Camera has the same UI but I noticed until now much better brightness and exposure levels; nice one this finding! Camera in my opinion os much much better
3. Battery much more resilient up to now.
4. Better Ram management
This is all for now! Will post again if something changes, for better or worse... 😉

FYI: Gesture navigation isn't enabled, or even available in the current beta. So the title of this post is a bit misleading.

So, the hardware buttons will not be affected, right? They won't disable them in favour of the gestures or anything remotely that stupid, right?

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2018"Pie-style navigation gestures are enabled, but those don’t... moreMobile phones are a 2 horse beauty competition
6 months after Pie still unstable as clearly released too early and untested, so up to phone makers
Windows phones 10 OS caused major problems on all Windows phones, it is the downfall of Microsoft phones after 2 years Microsoft could not fix it.
Windows phone 8 is still viable albeit no third party Apps and officially discontinued by Microsoft
Windows phone 10 is essentially malware e.g. If say Windows phone 12 were stable all Microsoft need do is install it, except you can't fix any phone that has WP 10 installed
Windows phone discontinued is the viable solution
Blackberry abandoned the super secure BB10 OS, however QNX which is Blackberry 10 is being developed for driverless cars
BB10 App store closes 31/12/2019
My point is all Google is doing is competing with Apple, variety is the spice of life, taking you lead from Apple Faceid good Fingerprint bad except you can charge more
There will be say 5 features not apps but procedures on each OS, that would benefit the other 3 OSes
10 years and still no memory expansion best end it there before it appears Apple bashing

This is likely in response to the fake news that they were blocking pie on the 8 so you would buy 8.1.

"Pie-style navigation gestures are enabled, but those don’t mix well with the hardware buttons below the screen – it makes the smallish screen seem even smaller."
True. Should just be kept as an OPTION for those who insist on using gestures. Hardware buttons below the screen are already "fixed" for CONVENIENCE anyways.
