Rotten Core: Nokia lose huge market share in their homeland

I currently have a HTC HD2 running wm6.5 but my next phone will run Android and not wp7. Why??
1). Because wp7 won't allow you to play your own ringtones, unlike Android.
2). If you remove your micro SDHC memory card from a wp7 phone and put it into your computer you cannot access your files or data on it, unlike Android.
3). I have a Slingbox Pro and my current wm6.5 phone allows me to watch my TV & PVR anywhere. If I buy a wp7 phone, I have to spend another £200 - £250 on purchasing a Slingbox Pro HD because wp7 doesn't support the Slingbox Pro, unlike Android.
4). The wm6.5 Sat Nav program which I purchased won't run on wp7. More expense.
5). I dislike the Home Screen and those horrible tiles. With Android I can personalise virtually anything.
If Nokia &/or Microsoft wish to increase their sales they need to make wp7 more versatile and backwards compatible with wm6.5 before they lose more customers.

MeeGo is better than android - so why should nokia use this slow OS!?!? P.S. I'm not fan of WP, but WP7 (Mango) is going faster than android even with onecore CPUs!!!

Why going against the market and against what people like ? Android is free and the best OS so far with tons of apps and games. And if they want a different OS they had Meego. So why WP, doomed to fail ??? Of course CEO from Microsoft is the answer. Samsung is king now and getting better with every new phone. My first phone was Motorola, then Nokia, then now Samsung. Nothing lasts forever. RIP Nokia. Thinking of it, most of their phones was crap anyway, just hype.

First of all there was no need of windows phone at all. they should have acted fast. Meego on nokia N8 would have been a killer and brought them back into market. They have put in so much effort into meego just to drop it is a very very bad idea and shame on themselves.
There are millions of fans dying to buy N9 but are not able to because either its not launched in their country or its price is way too high.
They did not launch N9 in many countries just to make way for some shitty phone called Lumia. I would not even call it a smart phone. and they are again wasting time in marketing that phone instead of announcing a killer phone. There were rumours about flagship device Nokia Ace..what happened to that.
Make phone announcements at right time nokia ..then only u can attract ppl.

Nokia threw out an opportunity with MEEGO and chose Micro$oft's WP. Nokia shoud 've choose MEEGO instead of WP. So nokia and intel turn down MEEGO. SAMSUNG strategicaly made an agreement with intel to evolve open source MEEGO (TIZEN0 with intel. Nokia, these are bad choices which affect NOKIA... Look at N9...If NOKIA supported it, things now would be different...

ELOP SHOULD HAVE FOLLOWED what ollia was doing
Maemo5 high
symbian mid high low
S40 mid low
and increase specs and software in each OS
and use it all in Qt and have alot of RAM
with better and more diverse form factors ...Nokia really needs that back

It is better at least now they realize and sale their mobile phone unit or stop making phones on windows platform. They would have chosen Android, Stephen Elope could be blamed for the same as he has had relation ship with Microsoft in the past and thought it would help Nokia... But, things go differently.. Android will finish with 75-80% market share by end of this year or in another 18 months... Making a statement like that would really hurt other manufactures and it kills the passion in providing the good Hardware and wide marketing capabilities from the hardware company...Anyways, Nokia to disappear in few years.. I have never liked their phones and I still wonder how would people even like those phones??? In the middle of one ocean, it can never get to shores and will die.. Good bye Nokia ...

They shoulda stayed on Symbian , maybe check out the meego realm and posibly have a sure win with android .
But then again Elop is on microsoft's side . He will be to blame if nokia will go bankrupt.
I cant say i feel sorry for nokia , they didnt make particulary good phones. They were the brand at the right time nothing else.

i think that nokia should go same hardware, multi os'es: if they make a 4.3" phone, with some QXVGA resolution, some dual core and a gig of ram, they can fit meego, wp7.5 and symbian in the same hardware with different versions... now that would be a killer!! (but no android, nokia is the only survivor left!!!)

I have only one word: ANDROID.
I am a huge nokia fan, I have been with nokia all along since my first cellphone. Windows, still a foulty, slow OS.
ANDROID is the answer to Nokia. Now I have an HTC Desire HD, why? because Nokia does NOT have ANDROID phones :).
Numbers...numbers have the answer. Mr Enlop if you see ANDROID getting fast growing, why run the other way with Windows?

all my friends, including me, we all were nokia fans until samsung galaxy s2, nexus and wave 2 appear in our pockets. nokia n8, e7, e6 was the last terminals wich i see in my gang and all are sold for 4-5 months. we all switch to samsung. personally i like nokia n9 but it's price is identical with galazy s2. so i buyed samsung galaxy s2. bye nokia

I dont think Nokia has just way that is android,MEGO & memo is a great platform but they plays with the company.Elope stops those platform.Elope is not proper man for Nokia.I am a great fan of nokia but now i have to move on android.plzzzzz do something nokia.come on.....................
