I like the idea of viewing area and interaction area in the UI. This was what the old Windows Phone 7/8/8.1 used to implement and I absolutely like it. You don't have to reach all the way to the top to touch something. Great for one handed use. But Microsoft as always was following blindly everything else and losing focus on their own products.

What are you thinking Samsung? I bought Note 9 because I did not like rounded edges (even in screenshots) after using Galaxy S9 PLus for 6 months. Now do you want to force our rounded theme on Note 9? This One UI design is complete failure on Note 9 because the new UI matches the aesthetics of S9 Plus, but not Note 9. Please revisit your beta and see how ugly and off it looks on Note 9. Looks like Devs are least bothered about Note 9 users.

It's iOS for Samsung, by Samsung. Next they'll be buying 5 year old iPhones and rebranding them as new Samsung phones...and you wont be able to tell the difference in performance. lol ;)

you can't limit design options just because you want. most probably you have an low end device and the lost taps are not because of the icons size but of the device hardware. Icon edges have 0 influence on taps. If you dont like round edges just say so..don't blame taps because of poor taste.

Striker, 14 Dec 2018iOS is that you?Dream on. iOS isn't optimized for one hand user on large displays. Apple copied Samsung's ancient solution for that, ie shrink the entire output to one corner.

Well its a copy of Apple.
Since war between Samsung and Apple apple stuill using Samsung screens and Samsung would like to use IOS like bar within a android phone.
I can say i am happy i cant say anything else.
Worse things happen in real worl but never had passion for samsung and now i can like them even less.

Don'... moreAfter using Pixel 2 XL, which I believe is the best implementation of round and circular shapes, I can say that it's much more pleasing to use, it's a shape that seems so unpractical, yet is so satisfying to look at, there might be similarity between real life situations of round objects looking good ;))
