Not forgetting people who already own the said phones are not updating the iOS. So the patent infringement still holds. The ban can still be enforced unless there's a guarantee of 100% iOS update for all owners.

And first of all these things should not get patented. It's like i can patent wheel now and sue everyone that use some type of wheel. Phones were rectangular and with rounded corners way before Apple started to make phones. So to let them patent these things is already a flaw in the patents office.

How does the update matter ? If in the chop the phone must be in the box and you must be the first to open it. So the phone have factory OS on it without the new update. So if they cant sell these phones then they need to update them before they sell them, but then the phone is opened box used phone.

Software patents are idiocy. Software can be (and is) adequately covered by copyright already. You can achieve the same set of software instructions from completely clean-room independent 'expressions' of code. With copyright this would be faultless, but with software patents you could be sued.

Apple is finally being brought down to its knees. Threatened by China ban, Threatened by India on DnD app and they bent down and allowed the app in app store which they adamantly rejected first time, Sales are bad and they brought down prices in Japan, Offering ads for trade ins and begging people to buy .... lol
Good luck apple ..welcome to 2018 !!

Almost two years ago Qualcomm sued Apple for patent infringement in China, Chinese cort ruled out in Qualcomms behalf & banned the sails of the models that were in the sue. Apple can't appeal nor can Qualcomm damand anything more like ban of newer Apple products based on this cort order as verdict is final. So stop publishing bullshits.

Why are the Chinese being so subtle? Just ban Apple altogether, like the US does with Huawei, and that's that

                                  What's the patent anyways?

i wonder how many unforeseen bugs this will introduce for those poor Chinese iPhone users?

I'll be funny watch the face of those after the change in the actions, iterations and navigation to a less intuitive and not optimal ones due to avoid the ban and pay the licenses that in other hand Apple charge to others for similar or other things. LOL

I don't care because I'm not from China!
