I highly doubt it. LG can't even provide basic software update support for its flagship phones with many of its year old and two year old international flagship phone models not getting a single android update, even a minor 0.1 update, what more a full version android software update! Forget it LG. You have ruined your reputation so much as regards having the most horrible software update in flagship phones bar none plus sloppy quality control (image retention/ghosting/burn ins, bootloops in G4, etc.) that it is next to impossible to recover from your steep nosedive in phone sales and market share. You'll be the next Sony and HTC with less than 1% market share years from now.

hope you open your eyes around since G5 will receive 8.0 until end of this year and not by OTA or LG Bridge...you need to go aheadl to LG Firmware page (google it, they havge the biggaste firmware collection for LG phones). Maybe in the really end of this year you get it.
And if you are a G6 user, your G6 like mine will have Pie until July next year. :)

this stuff about 4g/5g or whatever is nothing but a fake, why would i want those high speed internet technologies if i can just use a few gigabytes of data? it sucks, i would prefer a bit slower internet but with unlimited data. but people is very stupid yet and they would believe using 5g is the best of the best

You know, Samsung should make a Tizen based flagship with like a Z or X or Y series of phones. Or mid range. In general, I wanna try out Tizen in a commercially available phone
