OnePlus seems to have cut off the 6T's bezels in an ad

Here's a useless tactic: make your phone look more bezel-less than it does in real life.

OnePlus has made misleading claims in marketing since the very beginning of the company, before they even launched their first phone. So this is not just a one off thing that someone scewed up on. I'm disappointed that OnePlus thinks they still need to do this, after they have had so much success and acceptance. Anyway, this kind of thing is the reason why I just don't trust them and claims they make about their phones (that are no so easily verified).

    As far as I know, the most wanted and desired phones always get reviewed by him. Even the underdogs.

    And if you think he's getting paid for the videos, you're simply and plainly wrong. You have to disclose if you're receiving a monetary compensation to review a product, otherwise you're committing a crime mate. And not only would that result in his channel getting taken down, it could very well land him a hefty sentence in jail.

    You now have the burden to present a proof to support your remark.

    He's made 99 videos this year, arguably with one of the best quality on the internet. He has a small team, that's true. But you would be very surprised to find out how long do these videos take to make.

    He was given the RED Hydrogen to review (which is again something he has disclosed as it is mandatory) and he's blasted it with criticism. He has done so with many phones.

    The fact that you don't agree with someones content or they're feelings towards a piece of tech does not mean they're a shill and a sellout. Let alone outright accuse him of doing something unlawful.

      How come he NEVER reviewed a Sony phone? You're telling us he can't afford to buy one or he can't contact Sony to ship him a sample??
      He will only do reviews for people that pay him. That's the truth about him.
      Also, since he's a YouTube star he stopped being humbled and turned into a cheap showoff. LAME!

                          Wow it really does seem to be the Chinese way to cheat, lie, deceive and copy. I like to keep giving them the benefit of the doubt but nearly every week there's some news about a Chinese company caught doing something they shouldn't.

                          Everyone likes to bend the truth a little but there's bending the truth and there are just outright lies. This is why I tend to avoid Chinese equipment now wherever I can.

                            In Oppos defense - it does not say its the OnePlus 6T, perhaps its what on the drawing table. Besides, whats down there that the chin cannot be bezels less once UD fingerprint is in place?

                              That kind of photoshopping is unfortunately too common. When I got my Mi Mix 2, the first thing I've noticed that the bezels weren't as thin as in some promotional photos. They are still quite thin and look great, so the editing wasn't even that necessary.

                                      1+ has exactly done what Lenovo did earlier and drew flak.

                                      W-T-F is wrong with Chinese people? One can't buy anything made in China because it's all riddled with deception.

                                        As a 6T user, i believe this ad to be lame and and sue material...
                                        The 6T already have better screen/surface ratio than bezeless phones like mi mix 3 for example.
                                        They should be proud for this. Such a lie, would only disappoint a possible customer, for creating such crazy expectations.
