Anonymous, 29 Dec 2018No problems with my Nokia 3 on 8.1 Oreo, other phones brand... moreConsider yourself lucky. As far as I know, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 6.1 totally got various performance issues (they're mostly the same) due to software. I never checked other phones.

I like this advertising Nokia does. "2 years support", "gets pie update before samsung", "Pure android".
It looks nice on paper, but I have Nokia 5. And I can say.. Nokia software is horrible. Every update brings more bugs, lags and so on. Every feedback that's sent to Nokia's way is more useless than your résumés.
Even though my Nokia 5 can have Oreo 8.1, I'm still on 7.1.1, because that was a pretty usable phone before all those updates.
So people, don't buy this bulls@!t. Nokia is too lazy to fix them problems and port software to phones properly. I bought my Nokia 5 as a fan. Biggest mistake I've ever made. Could've gone with a little better spec`ed LG, which didn't get that much updates, but at least had unlockable bootloader, so LineageOS was doable (that's all I ever needed).

Nokia is giving pure android only to save costs of developing a skin and maintaining it. Also it helps in marketing and putting forth the impression that nokia is now android. Not windows.
I love nokia phones and they are doing it right. The only thing problematic is tjey font have native apps for basic things like gallery video player music player and maybe a good browser. They should provide their own softwares. Currently users are needed to install 3rd party apps with ads
