It's great that Huawei is designing its own camera sensors. Samsung needs to continue doing that (it began the whole PDAF of dual autofocus and many other features, some trickled down from Sony's own flagships). Also move to larger sensors and even faster readout for even better HDR in photo and video. Plus it's amazing that Huawei is getting rid of the whole Bayer Pattern Pixel limitation. If anyone cojld dump it altogether, they could way better low light and way sharper photos (apart from better colour accuracy). Plus 12MP on smartphones is getting g boring if it doesn't add atleast 1-2 extra lossless zoom. The new Sony Sensor seems to have promising low light capabilities too.
