People will migrate to the larger screen no matter how much power saving the smaller 'kindle' screen has. And I want a front facing camera over a full screen front.

Seems to be a good idea, but additional cost probably is too high to get this design popular.
The dual screen can eliminate the front camera, that can save some money.
However, I guess overall the back screen cost should be higher than the front camera cost. The good part this design is selfs can use the same camera, so it can take better quality pictures.

The idea that 2 screen one can be used for selfies is good. I like it only if it consumes less battery power. This makes it not require the front camera, main camera serves purpose of both selfie and other shoots. also serves to make main display larger one.
To make it great idea, camera manufactures should make smallest screen (may be 1/3rd or 1/4th size of main screen for talk, listen music, dial, selfie, messages, apps(whatsap, calculater, calander, time, settings) etc, which are most used. Better still if they make the screen tech from kindle so to consume less power. One of the main battery consumer is screen, if smaller screen is used more it will last more. Because that only one camera is used, it will bring cost down adds screen cost, that is OK if main camera is used for great selfies aswell.
Now phone manufacturers pay me $1000 for this gr8 sell-able idea. I have other gr8 ideas also .. mail me email.mpatil at gmail

Vivo is really quick with these bezel less designs.
These dual screens is the way to go for people who rarely needs a front/selfie camera.

I really dig the look of this phone. It looks futuristic. Specs are also high-end throughout. Should be a good phone IMO.

It's a beautiful device. No arguments on that. Chinese manufacturers are pushing technology and a lot of big players like Apple and Samsung are yet to keep up with them. Sony, HTC are already fading away. The prices would be way too high if these top players came up with such fancy tech (dual displays, sliding cameras, gradient builds etc) even if people think its useless. The future of mobile tech is going to be increasing.
