An AndroBench result shows significantly faster sequential speeds as well as much-improved random write.

UFS 2.1 typically has 700-800 MBps sequential read speed and 200-300 MBps write speed, that's only half above SATA3 SSD for read and half below for write. I expect the lowest NVMe storage to have at least 1 GBps for both read and write (my PM961 has over 3 GBps read and 1.5 GBps write, 960 EVO has similar read but around 2 GBps write).

If it was usb 3.1 it would be great to transfer files to the pc or to copy files from a hard-drive, pen-drive or card reader.
But, in the end, I think that brands only care about phones opening the apps as fast as possible. With UFS 3.0 the camera buffer will empty faster and a lot of new features can be introduced due to the fast storage.

The phones overall performance will be hugely increased with nvme speeds on 7nm chipsets.
Full USB 3.0 Gen 2 speeds would be great though.

This is USELESS unless Oneplus changes the Type C connection to USB 3.0 or higher unlike current USB 2.0

This is why OP is popular - they build a fantastic flagship phone that works beautifully, has excellent updates (always on time and beats every other flagship to security updates too - except Google) so maybe you should try one and see why we are all loving it. Also DXOmark for 6T of 98 (vs iphone X 97) says something - the camera is great (i should know as I've actually got the 6T) and the Android software is smooth and fluid (unlike Samsung). There's plenty to like about the OP, it offers extraordinary value for money and its well supported..

Even Google, Sony and Htc have better sales.

Of course it would cost below $550 when it lacks better screen ( even galaxy A use better ones), stereo speakers, IP rating, HDR screen, slot SD, useful 2nd camera , 4K HDR10 video ...

I am not counting poor wifi connection ( I saw a vid on youtube, they guy used speedtest on OP5 and S8. The value for s8 was the double) ..

6T is among the highest SAR value cellphones... Top 3 in 2018, with Pixel 3 XL and Iphone Max

Now you may say it's an unfair cross-platform comparison, but take the fact that iOS is supposedly better optimized, yet still can't beat Androids when opening simple tasks.

Though I personally don't like One Plus and won't ever use a phone by them, this is HUGE. I hope others follow suit.

I hope we start seeing smartphone cameras start replacing point and shoot soon. I am bored with carrying around ILCs.

Hope they also figure something out for the USB connection as well; 6T is an awesome device, but if you're a guy who transfer a huge load of data daily in and out of the device, that USB-C 2.0 severely restrict your speed compared to the "majority" of devices with USB 3.1 capability like Note 9, XZ3, etc...

It have no... morePeople like OnePlus because it's less than $600 for the majority of features you find in a $800-1000+ phone. It doesn't have the best camera, but it has a competent one, as well as it works well, and doesn't seem to lag as much as many of the others over time. It also has very fast wireless charging, good design. Doesn't have the absolute best screen, but it also has a really good screen.

Because of Software, i have used Samsung, Pixel, and Sony. I found OnePlus's OS really smooth and fast. It is enjoyable to use. Also it is cheaper than other flagships out there,

That's on NVMe level! Maybe not reaching Samsung's PM981 / 970 Pro but it certainly is on NVMe. Crazy!

Even with UFS 3.0 still no match to NVME
