We’ve seen devices being bent, but this one was literally jumped on by a bunch of people.

LG V20 also so tough in their testing too. But my LG V20 screen just broke with 1 drop about 1m.

Hope the claim of 48mp camera is good? We require excellent camera both front and back.

Redmi phones are pretty tough, especially the older ones with cheap plastic backs.

looks too big to use by one hand and imagine, how to fit it into pocket? not competitive with redmi 3, what is much better. not only processor matters, also body size matters.

Can other manufacturers make durability like this too? Lol, like Apple, the glass is said to be the strongest on a smartphone.

Flat surface, if you stamp on it carefuly, lots of phones will survive, I prefer the cement mixer tests..my old Siemens survived a real cement mixer test in the early 1990's,mixer was being cleaned out at end of day, so was half full of water and half bricks, it survived that OK for about the minute it took to shut it down, whipped the battery out, stuck it in instant coffee overnight, worked perfectly the next morning, just can't remember what model number it was, but top of range at the time. The old HTC tytn and tytn 2 were pretty tough as well..

By the way, I actually paid way more than 200 euros (because that country-specific warranty is actually charged in the price).

If it breaks in hardware or software so what ? I go buy new one. It's not a flagship that need to be bullet proof and when it breaks you need to go to support and pray they fix it cause your still on load for a year or two and cant replace it like just buying a new phone.

Not seeing the phone close-up and being used, before and after the 'so-called' "durability test", makes me think that this was a dummy phone (which are solid lumps of plastic) and not a real working phone.

That's what their "Global Service" does to the warranty terms Xiaomi themselves wrote (for the EU countries they officially sell to). Consider yourself lucky if you have country-specific support, because the moment you fall into the trap of the "Global Service" all your rights (which you paid for) will be revoked!
