HMD is a very typical Chinese investment where they take a (previously) well known brand and try to milk money off it (Alcatel, Motorola, being other examples).

When you change angle you will see blue tint on all screen. Most of LG mobiles have got the same screen ant the same "issue". It is not a problem if the screen is flat but with curves like Sirocco you have at the edges different angle. P-Oled screen.

Walter C. Dornez, 09 Jan 2019It's weird that it took as long as the S9 to get Android PieMany phone companies are late with their pie updates. It seems that the move to pie is not too easy. I have heard some weird bugs in some pie updates from different brands, so validation takes more time that many manufacturer anticipated!

Our Man in Lima, 09 Jan 2019Can you let us know if the update fixes any other issues li... moreThe phone is much snappier now and the camera has a Pro mode and slow motion mode. Don't know about the screen issue you mentioned as I never had any issues with the screen.
On a side note, after my phone updated to Android Pie, I did a factory reset to get that fresh clean feel you know. Android Pie's battery saving features and the ability to put apps you don't use constantly in sleep mode works better resulting in much better battery life.

Dornez, 09 Jan 2019It's weird that it took as long as the S9 to get Android PieWell but Samsung still dont have it and Nokia comes with updates pretty fast so one exception is OK compared to a samsung where they have one exception among 100 devices each year which comes with update few weeks or rarely months before other Samsung devices.

Nothing on my device yet, hope it appears soon. It's been two months since they originally said it would be updated to pie!

Nokia = Total failure. Better they make agaun small feature phones like the 8 series models, but upgraded with 4G, hotspot and KayOS.
