I just love ipad mini form factor. Just want 8.5'' horizontal display to read pdf without zooming in and out and in-housed stylus support that I don't want to lost or remember every time if I go out to take it with me.
Also, please don't take down display quality favoring lower price. It shouldn't work that way. mini always was/is a reading device major and consumption minor.

1000$ ipaed pro Are completely on their own gategory only MS surface pro and best Chromebooks compete with those...
but Android tablets... where Are good Android tablets?
I remember time when Android tablet was at least as good as iPads was maybe even better... but that time is far, far away.

Supports SD cards, supports quick charge and are tons of options to pick from with a lot more friendly price.
Apple have nothing just a logo which cost 70% of price rest you pay for a device.
In other words manufacturing price of 200 maybe 300 and selling price of 1000 or 1200 thanks no.
I rather stick to android tablet at least is compatible with Windows which is a lot better and user friendly option than Imacs or how their garbage is called.

I'd get a new mini 5 if it comes with the same form factor but a bigger screen. I have both mini 3 and mini 4 and I love them. I still prefer my iPad mini 4 over my Samsung Tab S2 9.7 though.

It makes sense for Apple to release the iPad Mini 5 in March 2019 using the Chipset from the September 2017 iPhone 8.

The 4:3 ratio screen of the 7.9" iPad Mini is almost twice the size of even the biggest 6.5" iPhone with its 19.5:9 ratio screen.
Screen area of 7.9" iPad Mini = 30.0"
Screen area of 6.5" iPhone = 16.1"

I really hope for new iPad mini, but the 3.5mm jacket proves that this picture is fake... Apple don`t bring back good ole 3.5mm blug!
For example younger student would be much happier with iPad mini than normal 9.7” version. It is just too big and heavy. Even 12 years old did like mini version more...
For old chap like me, the mini would be too small. But I still hope that there will be new mini one day. This leak is not it!
