I think that light ring animation will be a replacement of the LED notification light, users will be able to change the color of the light ring animation and set it up as notification indicator for different apps.
I know its sad to see the notification light go but its just a small sacrifice in order to achieve true bezel-less nirvana. BTW even I'm a big fan of notification LED light.

Does this mean the death of the Notification LED? That will be very sad since Samsung is the only one that still has these. Always On Display is not a good replacement.

I don't care how good that phone could be, I'm not going to buy this phone, pay 1000EUR+ and then wait 4-8 monthes for next OS update. No Thank's I'll stick to Google phones or an iPhone (better to say iJunk)

it seems no avoiding the cutout now that samsung will be giving in to it in its flagships. i do hate any execution of the cutout whether it be notch nor punchhole. not that i don't use the selfie camera (unlike some who blatantly say they don't need the selfie camera, i do use it alot in my devices for video calls), so really it has to be there. however, there are better placements for the cutout that an interruption of the screen middleish, such as on the outermost corner as there is already the curve in there anyway. i mean an itty bitty cutout strip there for the selfie camera and even some sensors would be negligible compared to having it right smack in the middle top or within the prime screen real estate.

My comment was not about a selfie camera it is about having an ugly hole in the screen.
I don't want a hole, notch or water drop. I Don't need a selfie camera but if they have to be there put them up top where they used to be or go for one of the other solutions (slider or pop up).
Seems people can't post their opinion on this site without others trying to bully.

Header appears only the first time any screen is opened. You can push it to hide it as you scroll down the content ... GOD these kids are all over internet these days !!!!! .. you guys got no school ???
