Not a miracle that Lexar can beat Sandisk, Lexar always been good on cards for pro cameras, while Sandisk has been more oriented towards the consumer market, their biggest success has been in fooling people into thinking Sandisk offered professional cards at budget prices when it really were just upper end consumer products.
And also Lexar is the brand of American semiconductor giant Micron, who also is the company behind major RAM and SSD brands like Crucial, Micron is a real heavyweighter.

Lexar, bring this 1 TB SDXC to micro SDXC format!
It will make smartphone users into heavy media consumption very happy! The huge storage enables lots of offline content: Youtube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Movies, Google Play Movies, etc. Download everything using home wifi and watch everywhere during travels, on the phone or screen shared with a monitor or big screen TV!
And finally, users will not hesitate to capture photos in RAW + JPEG always, record 4K phone videos always and have their personal FLAC music collection with them all day, everytime, everywhere: no mobile data needed, no bufferring, no shift to low quality/low bit rate streams, no battery draining, no music/image/video degrading compression, no cloud storage fees!
Heck, they can even put their entire laptop files and their entire movie, music and photo collection in the 1 TB micro SD card and always have access to them, no data needed, no portable external hard drive or USB thumb drive needed!
80GB offline wikipedia with photos in your phone's micro sd storage? Why not? The entire Netflix offline movies catalog you pre downloaded in your home wifi and love to watch anywhere you go - mobile phone screen or screen shared with a monitor or big screen 4K UHD smart tv? Why not?

What's the market? SD cards are usually used for write-intensive operations like cameras. Writing 1TB at "less than 95MB/sec" is going to take all day. A professional camera can produce RAW files at rates of about 700MB/sec even with a mechanical shutter turned on.
Slow write speeds are better for cellphone microSD cards where you're more likely to have a large amount of idle data and slower sources of new data.

Zendroid, 10 Jan 2019What phone are you using it in? And anyway, micro sd is the... moreI dunno what fake SD cards you're using, but my 6 year old Class 10 SanDisk Extreme is working flawless. I've been using it in 3 phones now and never had a problem with it.
Next time don't be cheap, go and buy it from a real store where you know they sell genuine products. There are a lot of fakes out there. I payed for my 64GB card about 100 Euro 6 years ago and still using it. It is one of the best things I bought.
My next SD card will be a 400GB one which is about 300$ :)

Why everyone is so shy about WRITE speeds?
what is the write speed of this one?
Most people don't bother about read speeds, they are mostly always around 100mb/s.
but I bet you wouldn't want to transfer 1 gigabyte of photos at 10mb/s

with this kind of memory and read/write speed. it might be for dashcams or low reso long term cameras.
entry level dslrs or mirrorless cam or mediocre drones could this card.

So I await to see if there is a hike in the clock speed of 5G phone
There is an additional "concern" re these cards and whether or not owners back up the content, Free cloud storage is limited to 10Gb, it does not seem feasible or practical to have such a large capacity card.
I don't know if they back up the card to any device
I have by the way 1000 songs using 5.5Gb almost too unwieldy.

Isn't the write speed is important for 4k recording and high speed 1080p not the read speed. And 95Mb/s read speed isn't that great either.

l have two 256 GB Lexar micro SD card.
Both unstable and unreliable and lose saved data after the 90 to 100 GB mark without warning (NO THEY ARE NOT FAKE).
I lost confidence in this brand.
