Anonymous, 15 Jan 2019I think the ping problem is just with your internet connect... moreEXACTLY! That's the fact that he doesn't want to admit as well as he compared it with other phones and it doesn't get high pings as what he experienced with the ROG Phone. On the other note, there's someone who posted his reply to Zendroids "Comment" that it might just be a faulty phone, but ofcourse knowing him, he might just refuse to listen to it.

OMGDrAcula, 16 Jan 2019Can you stop spreading bullshit? Ping you get in games has ... moreIt has everything to do with the phone, when it's made for gaming. No phones or routers have 5G yet! It's called 5GHz. And you forgot to mention it should be ac router. Did you watch mwc 2018? Obviously not. It was revealed back then. I guess you didn't really think your comment through.

But since you are so highly educated, then explain why s9+, p20 pro and op6 had better ping in the same games, on the exact same network. Both lte(4G) and wifi(5GHz).

My explanation for your reason: you had an old mid range phone before rog phone. Then of course you only feel better performance.

Zendroid, 12 Jan 2019Worst phone I tried in 2018. Can you stop spreading bullshit? Ping you get in games has literally 0 to do with the phone and pretty much everything to do with your network at your home. But seeing how uneducated you are I am sure you are gaming on your phone on a 2.4G wireless frequency instead of 5G like you should be. While the wifi is loaded with other devices.

Also the phone wasn't delayed 9 months. Are you high? They advertised the product and then launched it. Literally every company that has product lines does this. The iPhone X was talked about months before it released.

I have had the phone since it came out and have literally had 0 issues with gaming or anything.

But it is pretty clear how uneducated you are about pretty much anything related to tech or advertising.

DQ, 15 Jan 2019Again... it doesn't change "YOUR truth"... you should have ... moreDo you even know the difference between trolling and warning? I guess not. I warn people on each article, yes. Since I'm speaking from experience and the truth, it can and will never be trolling.

Maybe you should study trolling a little bit, before you try to use it again.

DQ, 15 Jan 2019Again... it doesn't change "YOUR truth"... you should have ... moreAnd end up with a phone that simply doesn't perform as well as expected? Do you really see the logic in that? I choose to get the full refund and stick with a fully functional phone that outperform rog in all my usage. Game and work.

And if the second was just the same, I need to send it to repair 3 times with same error, before it will be refunded. Each repair takes 3-4 weeks. So no, it's better to be smart after finding the flaws on a 9 months old phone. Rog phone 2 will probably be revealed next month on mwc 19. Then released again in November.

Zendroid, 15 Jan 2019Then tell me why it's not on the note 9, p20 pro and Oneplu... moreAgain... it doesn't change "YOUR truth"... you should have asked for a second unit to confirm if the first was flawed...

Just because you had a bad experience with ONE device it doesn't mean that every single unit has the same issue... and hey, I am not saying you are wrong either.... but you keep trolling every article with the same thing over and over again, instead of validating the truth behind it...

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2019I think the ping problem is just with your internet connect... moreThen tell me why it's not on the note 9, p20 pro and Oneplus 6? I'm waiting for your smart answer. Same sile card tried in all 4. Same router and internet connection used. It was spikes on both lte and wifi on the rog. I know it's hard to understand, especially on a "gaming" model. But it still doesn't change the truth.

[deleted post]I do, and that what i experienced using a Galaxy Note Edge, J7 pro and Samsung Note 5.

im a proud user of the ROG phone for 3months now with the gamevice accesory and never felt high pings that you are mentioning. Even with just the active air cooler.

You might be an unlucky person to get a faulty phone. you could have just had it replaced. thats normal for device to be faulty upon delivery.

xXENDER FREAKXx, 13 Jan 2019Quite disappointing to be honest, you're paying for a high-... moreExactly, it's considered a flagship because it's bound to last for more than 2 years.
I have a friend who's been using her Galaxy J5 (2015) for 3 years already (and about to go 4 this year) and the phone is still flawless. Imagine if it also had more than 1 system upgrades, then it would've been a greater experience as well.
I wonder why Google forces manufacturers to update their phones, but at the same time, also limit the number of viable updates to them.
Just like the Xperia Z3, which was used for Nougat BETA testing, but ended up not getting it officially despite it being more than capable of running the OS perfectly.
