Other Apple devices have USB-C, cause that's what industry dictates. And Apple never tried to change that.

Funny, it comes now when all users bought jack to lighting convertors and now usb c comes :) but it would be nice to see some thunderbolt 3 universal standard on phone so you can connect it to pc docking station anywhere and work like on PC ...

Don't.. USB-C has a hollow in the center that is annoying.. It is still hard to plug-in.. Lightning is the easiest among USB-A and C

I still believe Apple is a powerful force in mobile gaming. Hopefully they realise this in their iPod and Apple TV successors.

Actually a battered Apple is when they have produced their best stuff, historically speaking, and has always been my favourite kind of Apple. The innovative, think out of the box company.
This is the first time Apple has faced a sort of crisis since Steve Jobs passed away, hopefully they can return to their exciting self.
