Finally gave up on it and got a Poco F1 which I like but not so keen on the Type C port as I have to buy new cables. Wish it had a micro USB port so I could use all my old cables but alas can't help it.

Processor will be either Exynos 7904 or 7885 both are fine for me. Currently using Mi A1 which has type C port and SD625 soc. Never faced any hindrance due to processor.

      Next year they may go back to SD435 in their phones cause as long as they use a Type C connector with a 5V charger they know at least you will buy that phone while Huawei may offer a Kirin 970 with fast charging but a Micro USB port

But until and unless all phones will start to come with type C port, type C will not become mainstream and thus we, the consumers, will never get usb3/3.1 tech in budget and mid-range segment.

              I would anyday take a phone with a micro USB cable over one which has Type C but a crappy processor.

                there's usb-c that uses usb 2.0 and there that uses usb 3.0. and there are faster as well. having usb c =/= you have faster copy speed. not all usb c cables are equal. some can charge a laptop some can do fast charging some can't. how do you know? buy plunging it and guess what happens if you plug the wrong usb c cable. phone burned .; go search all this if you don't believe me. usb c is not as good as you're imagining it to be.

                  Even Samsung is providing type C port but honor and Huawei are not. Such a shame to see this in 2019.
