Since the Note 7 Pro uses Sony sensor that can take real 48MP full res photo, this should be an interesting contender to fight against the Nokia 808 PureView, the Nokia Lumia 1020, the Huawei P20 Pro and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro in terms of mobile photography.

I paused a 16:9 video on my note 6 pro, and measured it, turns out you only get 5.5 inches usable out of 6.26" screen space. Next thing you know it, you'll be getting a horrifying 21:9, believe me. Manufacturers will follow any trend, no matter how nonsensical or stupid it is.
At least if you disable the notch, you'll get a slightly more tame 18:9 (as tall as I'm willing to go). Screenshots will still look terrible though.

Hopefully xiaomi uses telephoto lens instead of depth sensor since sd675 is capable of 5x optical zoom. Am i correct?

As most expensive phone, iPhone XS Max is also has downsides, ofcourse many people can call it not-worth, as it charges bomb. But when another phone that costs less than 10% of that price can not be evaluated with GIVE ME EVERYTHING approach. If someone has such demands, they shall throw at most expensive brands / models.
So, having great "performance-to-price ratio" and great "specs-to-price ratio" makes me praise Redmi Note 7 / Pro

I think the Front camera of Redmi Note 7 pro should be upgrade with a 24MP with IMX 586 sensor and f/1.8; 2.55", 1.4µm or 1.75µm. Besides, depth sensor camera should be with f/2.0.
without these facts, all features are very good in this phone as per price.

frank, 17 Jan 2019what is differance between Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 senso... moreBoth IMX586 and GM1 are capable of capturing a 48MP image and a pixel-binned 12MP image, but GM1 does NOT support real time HDR output unlike IMX586. Also Redmi Note 7 most likely cannot output in 48MP since ISP does not support such high resolution, whereas in Note 7 Pro it supports up to 48MP of "snapshot", and while I'm not exactly sure what it really means, it seems that at least it is capable of taking a photo in full resolution.

frank, 17 Jan 2019what is differance between Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 senso... moreIMX586 is better. It can take proper 48mp pictures while GM1 outputs 12mp pics with pixel binning(which can be done by imx586 too) but it's 48mp images r not true 48mp, more like upscaled from a lower resolution.
Also just the fact that Xiaomi is using IMX 586 in the Pro and more expensive version shld tell u which one is best.

This will end other companies low and mid range mobiles quickly. Practically we use a mobile for 3 years & then will be new one in market. Therefore we believe to go budget phone where investment is low.
