20 January 2019
The second display has great photography applications and it rounds off an already impressive flagship package. Or does it?

TeleSPb, 21 Jan 2019It's a new thing surely, but its use sincerely quite obsole... moreYeah. Simply all companies just increasing the battery capacity inorder to give better battery life that's the trend set by Chinese companies. RAM management is another issue instead of optimising it they give more RAM.. i can see iOS performing much better with less RAM than Android.. dual display is another gimmick and price hiking method.. There is no innovation just increase the numbers..

It's a new thing surely, but its use sincerely quite obsolete.

The most innovation and effort the smartphone makers should put in durability, battery and software. Unfortunately that isn't the case because of consumerism.
They continue to strive for revolutionary ideas instead of maintaining what already works or shaping the rough spots.

I feel like it's a very solution to implement the future of of smartphones. There really shouldn't be a reason to complain; the majority of high end smartphones are of a glass sandwich anyways. The only caveat I'm drawn from this is the software side of the things. Hoping the same can't be said from this phone, but from ZTE's variant, the phone wouldn't always comply with switching between the two screens. As long as the software is polished, I don't see why this shouldn't become mainstream

Ughhh, talk about throwing something against the wall and seeing if it sticks.

It's definitely hot looking but trying to understand use case scenarios beyond selfie, unable to understand how it could be useful.

People rather want a freaking hole in the screen for a front cam that they use 0.05 % of the time than an unobstructed front screen experience? Last I checked, most phones are glass backed. What does it hurt if the entire back is screen too? So u gotta flip it backward during 0.05% for selfies. Oh how awkward and inconvenient... Like really?

r33fd, 20 Jan 2019No need to add a whole second screen just to take a selfie !Completely agree. Second screen just for selfie is a waste of money and ridiculous. I don't see other useful feature for a second screen. Phones these days are already expensive, makers need to stop adding more useless additional cost.

Trooper, 20 Jan 2019But how will that work ?, as there is no 'selfie'/front camera. That's the point. You use the high quality rear cameras and the second screen to see yourself.

Why , why would anyone want , need , or whatever reason thinks that this is even a let’s try idea ?

“ This will help everyone look their best (the phone can also suggest poses if you want it to).”

Yes, that's what i wanted. Apple please copy this feature.. xD

                        Hot and not
Hardware is hot, the second screen is great (though I think Nubia X is better), lots of RAM and a decent flagships
Software is not because its mostly broken, cameras secondary cameras are useless (wide and telephoto would be great, especially telephoto for eye photography) second screen is not much useful

no such thing as hot or not

                            Hot ONLY IF:

                            1. The phone itself comes with a gargantuan battery (if it's thick, so be it)
                            2. There's more tech involved such as using the second screen as the AOD, using the second display as an in-display FPS option, using it as the screen to receive notifications while watching videos/playing games on the primary display, etc.
                            3. It's combined with regular and wide-angled lens. It makes more sense for both the rear and front to have that configuration since Telephoto for selfies would be a nightmare. lol.

Hot! The secondary display is actually of decent quality, and so will selfies because of the design.

If you are person who doesn’t use phone case then maybe lol
