If anything the watedrop notch style is the evolution of essentials implementation. Gestures on iPhone btw inspired androids ghastly gestures just look at Oneplus hahaha

Will LG release another 2017-2018 clone in 2019? It seems ordinary and vulgar for a flagship today. That design was a temporary bad joke. Hopefully the majority of brands already sent it to the trash. Less Apple and a few without imagination to improve and develop.

lala la la laaa, 18 Jan 2019U mean normal people want to be charged expensive for a "fl... moreIn a word of touchscreens where the screen is 90% of the front of the phone nobody can possibly innovate every few months when they launch a product and differentiate themself from the mass.
Besides camera, fingerprint and brand logo placement there is not much to change. Even if a phone has some motorized pop-up feature u can`t really tell it just from taking a look at it.
Would you better want a screen curvature just for the sake of innovation, isn`t that notch more than enough already?

after pictures when i look at them, its totally same like G7 model.. again that disgusting notch, again fingerprint reader on back again, old ips display ,so totally no any progress forward ...totally disappointing.. it seems it will be only replaced processor snap 855 instead 845 ,bleee.. samsung S10 will be total winner over G8 and also xiaomi Mi9 it seems after first info

had the g4 before and now i got the g7. I bought it cheap for a flagship for 500$.
I have to say I am very picky about phones and it was really hard to get something different than the g4. The G7 is one of the best phones out there in my opinion...here s why (aside from the price tag, 450 $ now)
the camera is good for most of the situations and for most of the people. if you add gcam, you get a bit more long range detail, the only weak point of lg s camera. video doesn t have the best stabilisation but it s really crisp and nice.
the battery although 3000mah is very very well optimised. I usually get 4h sot over 70-100 hours since last charge. i did not manage to down the battery in less than 1.5 days where I got around 5h20 sot. Note this: the screen is VERY bright and looks awesome even if it is not OLED. Also: QHD resolution, that s about 1.6mil more pixels than FHD resolution.
The phone has 4gb ram and it never closes apps, keeps many of them in background (only time when it does close apps is when I use gcam with night mode)
The screen is very big and the phone isn t that wide, easy to keep in hand. The speakers are of very high quality and very loud. not to mention the audio quality on the headphone jack (which hey, exists !)
I also disliked the notch a lot but since i got the phone I set it to black and i just have the notifications up and i don t even remember the phone has a notch..
also the phone design is very very nice (got the gray one).
G8 should have a better camera at long range detail and a slightly bigger battery with the same optimisation maybe...I would ve bought the v40 but it s not available outside US.
I know I seem a LG fanboy, but I'm not. I considered OP6 but the price here is 900$ for it and it s not worth it. I don t like samsung edge and software and camera (colors mostly), htc u12+ had a too dimm screen and weak battery...not to mention the 800$ price tag. Sony xz3 had bad cameras...and not a fan of xiaomi. Nokia sadly still doesn t have a flagship phone.
