SAMSUNG still using an outdated Mali - G71 MP2 in this chip and sell the phones with a midrange device price.

They still think that our smartphones users are not smart enough and easy to get cheat?

The Mali G71 is an older chip and Samsung uses just 2 cores . The Helio P60 uses a newer G72 with 3 cores and its reasonably competitive with the Snapdragon 660.

I don't think anyone is calling for a Mali G72 with 8 or 12 cores to be used in a budget chipset but at least a more reasonable package

No point in these low end chips.
Unless these are going in 100 dollar phones, nobody will be interested, when better alternatives are already everywhere.

Ultimate Rugal, 21 Jan 2019Which CPU is better? This Exynos 7904 or Snapdragon 636?SD636 no doubt...
You get extra 2 powerful A73 cores and a superior GPU.
Now if Samsung is aiming for efficiency with this chipset, then it's pretty much an irrelevant choice, as there are similar or better options for less, and this SD636 is the main one.
What low end phones with large batteries need is a SD625 based on the new 7nm node, or maybe even just 10nm in order to recreate the efficiency legacy of the legendary SoC that pretty much remained popular for over 2 years.

I more prefer helio p60 than this, cause it's better processor. Also p60 can be found in smartphones in 130€ price range, like realme 1. Samsung with this soc will be at least 200€.
