They don`t see that they spend those amounts in daily basis for a drink in a pub, or what is even worse when they buy gas for their awfully inefficient cars with 5+ liter engines.
The best are Black Fridays, when they are fighting in stores to get discounted iPads and they camp outside the closed stores for hours, maybe even days to be the first, just hilarious :)))

With the 3% of the global coverage in next 2 years i rather stick to 4G LTE until the covarage will be 20% or more.
At the present having 5G phone is as useless as having case on a duraforce pro phone most rugged phone by Jerry rig.

I had a taiwanese friend and she worked in design (puma or adidas, i do not remember), and she told me their are a lot of poor people, especially those who work in factories, they receive very few money (100€, maybe less or more) and they visit tgeir families only at the end of the week. If you call that balanced, well, it means you do not know how people live in Europe. I would be glad for them to live great as you say, but i doubt.

Nokia 9 sounds crazy good at this point. 500 euros more will be probably the standard for the new "flagships" of the others. And that only because 5G and snapdragon 855. Nope, thanks.

Make more money but everything is more expensive or make less money but everything is cheaper.
Kind of balances out.

We don't need 5g,4g is just more than enough for everything.5g will use higher frequencies=higher risk for human health.We are already in a world full of radiowaves we don't need more.

Why do smartphones keep getting more expensive anyway? Aren't economies of scale supposed to bring down costs on products in the long term?
Laptops and desktops keep getting better and faster, but they are also cheaper than ever. Certainly with billions of smartphones in the world the economies of scale have been achieved.
So what's with the price hikes? I think either manufacturers are just price gouging (ahem, iPhone, Pixel). Or it has to do with the abusive patent system and the anti-comptetitive monopolies it creates.

I mainly care about battery life, if it's significantly worse than current 4G phones then I'm not using it even if the next phone I get (which isn't likely any time soon because I just got the OP 6T) comes with a 5G modem.

I don't see how future-proofing a phone is a bad thing. You can always buy cheaper phones, as they make a phone at every price-point now.

If Chinese overall charge 300$ premium for 5G excluding the phone
Apple bm8ght charge extra 900$ just for 5G version meaning the 512 GB iPhone 13(2020) could cost 3000$ in some countries like India and Australia

ok .. so lets say i`ll get a phone with 5G.. the question is how offen i`ll use it? when 5g will be a big cover in all big citys than we can talk about phones 5g.. till then there is no need to put such thing on phones yet

Hmmm, why would I want to buy 5g phone? Today's 4g is fast enough for daily use and I don't watch HD YouTube and Netflix. So what is that good for?
