And you don't have to buy the latest iPhone in order to be on top of everything. Even a 2 years old iPhone beats almost any angroid phone out there. And the newest ones beat all and any androig.
Current year iPhone = best of the best of the best. Best performance on the planet, but you have to pay for it.
Last year's iPhone = better than any other competitor phone from the current year.
Two years old iPhone = better than 95% of competitor phones from the current year.
Three years old iPhone = equal or better than top-mid-end phones from the current year.
And because they're so good, they also retain their value better than any competitors. If you are smart and understand technology/are a power user, you buy an iPhone. If you accept to pay for a new android phone every year because the old one doesn't work very good anymore, and you don't really care that google monitors your usage non-stop, you get an android phone.
Those of use who live in the future, we get iPhones. Those who live in 2012 and love headphone jacks, they get android phones.

It's gorgeous I can't deny it. But a Galaxy Note 4's 4k video can be improved through good video editing and amazing footage.
It's not the equipment, it's always been the user.
