              i'll go by that ASSEMBLED in china:
              "most of them don't have the SD card slot." the ASSEMBLED in china dose not have SD card slot
              "most of them can't be rooted." the ASSEMBLED in china can't be root too(as matter of fact you never can't change the os)
              "they lie in benchmark scores." as far as i know there was just 1 brand which has done STH about benchmark on one of it's phones which was not cheating as you describe it
              " they are very well known for spying (i choose google over a communist country)." this one really need some solid evidence that Chinese mobile companies are spying on others
              Also need to be noted that ASSEMBLED in china is doing spying on you(for example it record track of your GPS position and send it to mother ship!)
              "they use poor quality materials." for some cheap models this might be true but for premium ones the quality is almost if not better than other two company you mentioned
              "they copy/paste from big brands without any shame or consequence." if some one said this about 4 month ago i would immediately agree but now they are the source for other manufacturers
              "they use DSLR cameras in their commercials and then they lie saying they used the phone camera." this one i agree!

                      The smartphone evolution since its inception had been influenced primarily by Apple, feeding on American smartphone ecosystem which was fast-growing and the most vibrant in previous years. Samsung, HTC and a slew of other companies chose to follow Apple and used American market as their primary target market. Since those other companies never understood the American Market the way Apple did, they therefore took the cue from Apple. This Apple led effort had reached a plateau in recent years partly because the American smartphone ecosystem had matured, slowed down, and was no longer as vibrant. On the other hand, the Chinese smartphone ecosystem has grown to become the most vibrant, most forward-looking one in the world.

                      The smartphone evolution has therefore reached a new stage. Its development in the coming years will be primarily driven by Chinese Tech companies feeding on the Chinese smartphone ecosystem. What Apple and Samsung do in the coming years will just influence the details of this general trend, but not much else. As for other companies, Sony, LG, HTC, etc, it is better that I don't say anything about them. I do hope they stay around. If not for anything else, they will provide alternatives, albeit not very good ones, for those people who are easily "injured" by anything Chinese. The Chinese smartphone ecosystem will simply march on at its own speed.

                      We have already seen this trend in 2018. But the year 2019 will be the Year-Zero when this new reality fully emerge. This new reality is not about the rise of Chinese Tech companies, not about coming and upcoming new technologies conceptualized, developed and adopted by Chinese companies, it is more about the creative forces driving the Chinese smartphone ecosystem. It is about thousands of companies that are rising and falling within such an ecosystem. It is about those daring Chinese companies that keep inventing and re-inventing new ways smartphones are being used in modern Chinese society. With the coming 5G technologies, new possibilities and new ways of life are being imagined and re-imagined through various 5G enabled SMART projects, at the neighborhood level, at the city level, at the provincial level, at the regional level involving a cluster of multiple provinces. We are not talking about just smart-home or smart-city. We are talking about smart infrastructure, smart highway, smart traffic system within which smart-driving (autonomous driving) and many other things may become a reality.

NO, some sammy and iPhone are better quality then Chinese and some Chinese are better quality then the 2 going down brands.
                        All brands making copy and the same time innovation, that's natural with all things in the world.
                        And nowadays the Chinese are the most innovative in the smartphone world...
                        So totally BS talk when people saying other things.

                              everyone saying no bezzel but in comparison to the devices from few years back we had forhead and a chin but virtually nothing on the sides edge to edge its what i like.
                              look at the iphone for instance....
                              maybe little bezel but tge display does not start from edge but you see an ugly line going around the display

                                      that's how it done, unlike the compromised meizo zero, the vivo apex with pogo pins allows the benefits of sealed and buttonless/portless phone, but still have the advantage of quick and reliable data transfer and charging via a port, it's even possible for special case to enable charging via regular portable chargers

                                      now if they make this phone plain vanilla andriod or quite light ui such as huawei or sony then it will be revelation of a phone for 2019
