And even now the gpu is nothing weak by any standards or that far behind the snap counterpart. And clearly Samsung could have put more focus with a larger gpu set up but that's not where the balance was. They are winning largely in cpu.

Not a fan of Exynos at all. Prefer SnapDragon chips. My Note 8 running Exynos is eating up battery like nothing.

1) Nop, Apple is way ahead.
2) M3 wattage is the same or even higher than A series, if anything, the S9 and note 9 with exynos variant will have even worse battery problems in a few years... except nobody will keep those phones that longer lol

Before posting crap, go read his deep dives into several processor archs. He even does consulting work for Huawei (citation needed here but i’m pretty positive about it). He is one of the smartest and most capable reviewers out there.

SAMSUNG, 24 Jan 2019Heard rumours of exynos 9825 for note 10Thanks for sharing. While the 9820 looks like a good processor, Samsung needs to start concentrating in re-modelling the whole cache setup as well as the instruction process. The GPU and NPU in particular are huge on the 9820, but with improvements in cache and Instructions, it could easily beat the Bionic processors without the whole burn-in of processor and battery life issues that Apple processors have been for at plagued by.
I have been saying this for the longest, Samsung needs to hire Andrei Frumusanu from Anandtech as a consultant wrt to its Processor design and testing. Samsung needs to rethink its Processor design from a new perspective. It is not limited like other smartphone companies that do not have the advantage of having th eit own processors and hardware expertise. Samsung should use that to dominate processor tech.

lagdragon only supported upto 4k 60fps .

An 8K display on mobile seems ridiculous. VR needs resolution, mobile phones have more than enough already.
