I missed the update and my phone keeps hanging and freezing up every few second,is this due to not updating it

Access the programming options and do that.
You must do it EVERY TIME you reboot!
That made my Nokia 5 usable...
Waiting for PIE, but now i'm not sure if i update because i don't know how much storage it will take (16GB option was a BIG mistake!!!)

How can I reverse it? The speed is immensely slower and WiFi is suddenly a headache.

My Nokia 5 recieved update to Android 9 at the end of January in Iran.
The update size was 1663 mb
The overall performance of the mobile phone has boosted and I am completely satisfied with it.

Nokia 8 (2017) doesn't even get complete android pie. It's the same beta built except there is no feedback notification. Many features are missing like adaptive brightness, adaptive battery, app actions, etc. Good job HMD Nokia. Even Nokia 5 (2017) gets all these features. Do Nokia 8 users have to remind them every time that nokia 8 is a flagship phone. And juho sarvakas is keeps saying lies. This shows how nokia cares about there flagship phone. They should change there slogan to slow in updating, incomplete software and lies.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2019Wonder what storage you're left with after the update.....well, factory reset after the pie update left about 8-9gigs. not bad, especially you can use adoptable storage on this phone. mine using 64gb sandisk a2 microsd and it's at least as fast as the internal.
